I have a query and would like other mylotians' input on this: A certain user goes by two names (rav33n6 and r6v33n6). She uses the same avatar for both. Her discussions under both names are basically the same. Does anyone have an idea why a person would do something like that?

She is trying to cheat the system. You should pm myLot and report her, documenting the duplicate posts and other violations.

So far she hasn't duplicated posts, not that I could ascertain. To be honest, I don't think she's interested in the system at all, or earning money from it.

Yes, you definitly need to report her. This is against the rules here in myLot and she will be banned. She is trying to get around the system to make more money. It's sad that people do this, but they do. I will report it too. People like that are going to mess up myLot for everyone. Thanks for sharing.

I've read through this discussion and it seems as if you could give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she isn't scamming the system, but the other opinions cast a lot of doubt on that. Generally, whenever someone has multiple accounts or user names, they have found some way to scam the system. It may not be obvious to us, but I would think that she is benefiting from this in a financial way. I would report it to myLot as abuse and let them deal with it. I'm not being critical, but don't use the person's username in a discussion. I learned the hard way that the discussion will be deleted because it is against guidelines. I had a discussion that was actually a query of concern about a user who had been ill, and it got deleted along with all of the responses. In the future, I will add into the discussion that if anyone is interested in the username they can PM me and I will let them know.
