What do you think of our new solar system?

See! by changing the status ofa planet will not change the planet system! The Solar system is the same like what it was , it is the perception of ours which has changed! We have discovered something new and added the information to the existing knowledge. This is not going to hamper the existing soalr system in any way! Well ! Change is a essential part of life, we need it for betterment and with every cahnge we are entering a new world. Without a change we still wopuld hve been in the era of Cavemaen, hunting the animals for our food and spending our lives in jungle! No? Thus this is part and parcel of the Science, they discover new things and discard the old non fesible things after proving the new discovery as a right one! There is nothing to be worried about it! When Coupernicus said that the earth was round there were chiaos every where people opposed him, they called him anti God, an atheist and poor fellow met with worst thing to have happend to one for just stating the ruth that the earth was round and spherical! But today we have accepted it and we can't even think of the concept that earth is flat like a saucer! Thus it is a day to day affair of the scientists to come up with new discoveries and they putforth their discovery infront of other scientists for further discussion and then after the long debate they come to acommon platform to come to any conclusion! We really need not worry about these discoveries! They are meant for good cause only!

As kids we used to remember the nine planets as "My very educated mother just showed us the nine planets". Now how do we teach this new generation? Whatever the IAU says should not affect us laymen as long as the planets doesnt blow up overnight!!!
