afraid of tooth extraction?

I don't know how people do it awake. I have a few teeth removed and I always make them put me to sleep. When I wake up it's all over. How can you stay awake for that. Nooooooooo!

i had my tooth taken out 4 days ago in the dentist and my gosh the pain was unbelievable!! i was not scared but it does leave you with discomfort in your mouth. my mouth is still pain today but i am just happy the tooth has been taken out as last week i had really bad toothache, the pain was unbearable!!

Ive had one tooth extracted and I was pregnant at the time so I could not have the regular dosage of pain killers and I felt a lot of the pain! It was not fun and I hope I dont have to ever go through that again!

I don't mind going to the dentist as long as it is quick and painless. I would rather have a tooth pulled than to deal with a toothache. I have also heard that root canals are very painful so I don't think I will ever have one of those done. I will tell the dentist to just pull it out instead. I can't stand to be in paid, so I want whatever is the easiest to get rid of the painful area.

no.. actually, thanks God, i have never been confined to a hospital for my 30 years of life. thank you! because of that, i am really that scared of doctors.. but now im working in a medical center, and i have been in the medical field, and i have this less fear of medical practitioners. but seeing a dentist is a different thing. having someone probe my mouth is really something im quite scared of!

Even when i was still a kid i am not afraid of tooth extraction. I just alwasys pray and nothing happens, it is just like your are been biten by an ants.
