how to identify male or female parrot

oh, i didn't know it's hard to identify male from female parrots... But thanks to this post i now have an idea on how to go about finding out about it. =)

To identify between a male and female parrot:male parrot has a black ring along its neck,while the female parrot doesnt have that ring.....thats all folks!

This depends on the species. In most birds, you cannot tell. The only way to know 100% is to get a DNA test. A vet can do a DNA test for you for around $20.
