Do you read many books at once?

I tend to start one book and then start another before I'm finished with the first. A lot of times when that happens I don't finish the ones I put aside, but sometimes I'll come back to them. Do any of you do that? Do you finish all the books you read at once? Do you get the storylines confused?

Not me, one at a time front to back. If I start a second I will never finish the first one. I've done this all my life.

Exactly how I am. Multitasking with reading is an impossible task.

I always read several books at once. I tend to read both fiction and non fiction at the same time so that way I do avoid getting the storylines confused.

I can only read one book at a time or I will get them confused =) After I finish a book I have to wait a few days before I start another one or I will still get confused =)

Normally I only read one book at a time because I'm one of those people who do get storylines confused, orI just tend to forget what happened in a certain novel if I haven't picked it up in a long time. But since this year, I've actually been reading about two or three books at a time. Mostly out of necessity though because this one book I started reading was too big and bulky for me to carry around when I leave the house so I started bringing a lighter one. But then, sometimes I also can't really get into a certain book so I start reading another one that fits more of what I'm in the mood for at a particular time. Like you though, when that happens, sometimes I don't finish the ones I put aside too, hah.

I do read more than one book at one time. I read them in different places. I never have gotten them confused, tho I once dreamed two of them together. Hows about mixing a historic bodice ripper into Lord of the Rings sound? I think it was when I was in the midst of the 2 Towers and all the midievel human/elf battles with the enemy and the bodice ripper.

I read more than one BOOK at at time but I do not read more than one STORY at a time. Currently I have a bookmark in a book of poetry, a book of short stories, and a self-help type book. The reason I may read more than one book at a time is because I get bored with what I am reading. I did slip a novel in last week and read it in two days. I cannot read more than one STORY at a time because, yes, I will get the storylines confused.
