Tell the world about yourself...

I like to think I am still fairly new here, but I am starting to make some friends online which is pretty cool. Over time I've been slowly learning a little about my new myLot friends which is good. So for those of you who are interested heres a 2 second blurb about me :) I was born in Canada and moved to New Zealand when I was about 11. I finished school there, did an I.T. and business course after school, and then worked for a number of year doing IT work. I then got sick of that, and after always wanting to own my own business, I bought a Cafe. After two years of that, I had the urge to move back to Canada, which is where I am now. I am currently doing web design work, including my own sites which are listed in my profile, and helping my parents set up their business. I'm current single and straight, but wanting to get my life here sorted first before settling down. So thats me in one paragraph :) Why not give the world a brief introduction on yourself, what you do for a living, etc...

Hi Margaret! No, I'm still wide awake :) It sounds like you certainly have your hands full, and that probably why you make such interesting discussions on here. Thanks for sharing about you and your family...

I'm 23, American, Southern, formerly a Democrat but my wife taught me how to think for myself, and now I'm not a Democrat. I currently work for FedExKinkos on third shift full time, I'm going to school part time at the local community college to become a computer programmer. I graduated from Appalachian State University in '06 with a degree in technical photography, and later discovered that a photography degree from a 2 year school was worth more than a 4 year degree. My wife and I are expecting our first child in about one month. And that's me in one rambling paragraph.

Hey Mr Coolant... thanks for sharing about yourself. Is photography going to be a hobby for you now that you have the degree?

Photography sure can be expensive, and it doesn't if you go digital or film, taking great shots is expensive. Did I read correctly in another of your posts that you have Digital Rebel? I have one and would love to upgrade the lens, but I have better things to use the money on

Eventually, I hope to make a little money with it. Right now, it's just hard to find time. And as an art form, photography probably has the highest overhead of them all, which makes it kind of prohibitive since I'm broke. I enjoy taking pictures, but I just don't want to take any without a buyer.

Hey Comedy, good discussion its a bit weird spending all this time talking to people knowing nothing about them. My name is Stephen i am 21, no 22! i am currently at university in Cardiff, Wales (Da hwyr Chomedi gobeithia buchedd ydy yn traethu 'ch bydew) I am doing a masters course in environmental Hydrogeology (hydro = water, Geology = Rocks). This is all that happens in my life because the course is evil and more work than is ever humanly possible unless you are some sort of genious (which sadly i am not). I am not Welsh so don't call me one, i was born in England and i am as quinticentially english as you can get. I am sat in my room drinking a cup of tea and eating a crumpet as i type. P.S. I have recently decided that i am insane, its fun but can be tough at times, especially when tired

A little about me. I was born in a small city in Ohio, USA. I grew up out in the coutry on a farm. To this day I wish to live back in the country. I moved to the state of Florida when I was 18 for about six months. When some unforenate things happened. Than I mved back to Ohio. Where I met my first husband, married and had a son together. The marriage didn't last. Due to his partying. I later moved in to a one bedroom apartment with my son. Where I lived for several years. Before I met my cureent husband. Let's rewind alittle bit. I graduated from highschool and from a vocational school with a degree in restuarnt management. My dream was always to own a resturant. I worked at varies jobs til I landed a rather good paying job at a factory. I worked there for over 10 years. When I was accidentlly shot in the leg by my current husband. Because I vould no longer work. We moved to Florida, USA to be near his family. That was a year and half ago. I also have two kids by my current husband.

Sorry about the copy and paste. I wasn't trying to add what you had commented. I put that in the space. So I knew what I was replying to. I meant to take that out. Please forgive me. Have you noticed when you answer someone who has commented on someone else. You don't see what they comment. Just the original reply?

Wow.. what an interesting life you've lead, although I'm sure being shot wasn't that interesting at the time... ;) How on earth did that happen? Owning a cafe / restaurant was a lot of fun. It was hard work as I'm sure you know, but I did enjoy. If you've always wanted too own one, don't give up on that dream... Thanks for sharing!

I'm a 20 year old college student. I was born and raised in Michigan, USA, but recently moved to Colorado. I've gone to three different colleges so far. I've worked in three coffee shops (two of them Starbucks), and I worked for two years in a theatre building scenery. I'm majoring in sociology and theatre, because they're pretty much the same thing if you think about it. I have a wonderful, wonderful boyfriend whom I'm going to marry someday, and we plan to have a vegetable garden and a couple of goats. And some kids.

I am born and raised in montreal and never left. I am a grandmother of one 11 year boy. My son is thirty and still lives with me. We share our apartment with 4 cats. I am a publisher of an online e-zine and I am an author of two books and a freelance writer. Since I do not have a day job, I am trying to find ways of bringing in a steady income. I also have a masters in psychology but I can't find a decent job here in montreal.

Thanks for sharing a little of yourself. I know how hard how it can be trying to find a job. Hang in there, something will turn up. Do you make any money from the e-zine? I've just had a quick read of it and you seem like a great writer!

My name is Frances, I am a newly registered nurse. Although I studied and got a license as a nurse, right now Im still struggling in life and working as a call center agent. I do not have any regrets with the carreer that I chose, since I am very happy with my friends here. Currently, I'm still looking for the purpose of my life, I'm still finding the right carreer for me. I am not at peace with my parents, and I think it would take long for us to reconcile. I feel bad about it, but, I think this would be for the best. I am single, but I am no looking. I feel that I have a good disposition in life, yet, I am confused. I think that's all. Thank you LOL

Hi Frances, thanks for sharing about yourself. You should consder moving to Canada / USA where there is a real shortage of nurses. Someone on the first page who is also from Philippines and is a nurse is working toward a nursing degree so they can work over here. Cheers...

*rubs my eyes* Cool a Cafe! Lovely paragraph intro-ness ^_^ Uh..me? Well, I haven't exactly gone alot of places in my short life. I've never even left the state I was born in. I'm a country girl..I love wide open spaces, and I feel kinda hedged in, in the city. I haven't yet finished highschool, but I should soon. In a year or two. Currently I'm a writer. I'm trying to get my book distributed, and I own a website with my friend and fellow writer Bri, trying to work up a reputation before actually getting my book in stores..which should help the sales. So far that's going okay. I'm also working on my career as a Private Investigator and that's going slower, but IS going. Uh..I can be a bit gruff with people. I'm a book-lover, music-lover, and if people push the right buttons a bit of a hot-head...though insults wash off me, the thing to attack is the people I care about, and then I'm not very friendly at all. I'm a bit of a recluse. Not very social. Haven't had alot of luck love-wise, but I don't mind alot most of the time. Er..I think that's enough. Heh.

Oh what fun! I'm a 16 year old American girl in Texas. I've lived here my entire life. I've been as far west as California (through the border states), as far east as Florida (through the Gulf states), as far south as Galveston, TX, as far directly north as Oklahoma, and as far full north as Kentucky (though that will change this summer, when I go to Maryland). I'm well-traveled, though not as well as some, and I've never been on an airplane (thought that'll change this summer too). I will be 17 in two months from yesterday, and am a junior in high school. I live in a big city, but was born and raised in my younger years in the country, where I plan to go back. I'm a member of the Lord's church, and have been for about 2 1/2 years now. I used to be agnostic, then Wiccan, then finally Christian. I am a student of anything I can get my hands on. I have studied almost every religion under the sun (I think it would be easier to tell the ones that I haven't studied than the ones I have). I've already applied to one college in a small town in Tennessee, and I plan to be a biomedical scientist and find the cure for cancer and AIDS. My parents have been divorced since before I was a year old, so I have a huge family, seeing as how both remarried and had more kids. I am one in 8 (which includes 1 step; I have no full-blooded siblings, so the rest are half). My dad is now going through his second divorce, so it's just me and him right now. As for my life right now, like I said before, I'm a junior in high school, number one in my class of about 425 (started at 535 freshman year, can you believe that?!). I have a boyfriend (8 months and a week today), and I met him in church. I have a lot of friends, but not many close ones, and am drum major in the marching band at school. Anyone who knows me will say that I'm always upbeat and positive, and very outgoing and hyper. I don't get sick very often, but when I do, it's bad. So, that's all about me (at least all I want the general public to know lol). Sorry it wasn't very "brief"...
