i know many stories of best of friends who turned into lovers but ended up in tragedy. If you become friends before you were lovers, is there a much higher risk of losing it all? but some say it's a good foundation but why do most people i know say otherwise. i guess it's even more confusing to love a friend so much and want more. what say you?

My ex and I were best friends and hung out EVERYDAY for a solid year before we started any kind of intimate relationship. It lasted for about 4 years. And it ended horribly. SO I lost my best friend and my boyfriend in one fail swoop. I wish we hadnt have went downt that road, because I may still have my friend.

I had a good freind in hight school. Her and I could talk on the phone every day for hours. Then we start a relationship and our freindship sufferd. We dated about a week and never really go tback to being such good freinds again. I often wonder what ever happend to her and wish I could see her again.
