Poetry Readers?? Who is your favorite?

Are there people who out like me who sit down and read a book of poetry? My favorite poet is Nikki Giovanni. If you haven't read her, check her out. She is phenomenal.

I really like Walt Whitman as well. You just have to pick up some books and browse through.

I get ideas for my writing as well. In fact, I can kind of trace the evolution of my writing with what I was reading at the time.

There are many poets that I like - but, he is my favorite. I like Walt Whitman, also.

Yes...I do. I like Walt Whitman and Robert Burns...and many others. I try to read poetry because I want to get ideas and inspiration for my own writing.
