i love fairy tales! its so great for the imagination. as a child my mom read all kinds of stories to me and i loved to go out side and pretend. it was so much fun. i remember playing many times as a princess of the folwers (not a real fairy tale but it works!) but my favorite was little red riding hood, hanzel and grettle, sleeping beauty, and anything that had to do with princesses or witches.

I guess my favourite fairy tale is... "Cinderella" because the prince and princess had a wonderful ending. Morale of the story portrayed that kindness begets kindness. However, I like "The Little Mermaid" as well. It is a story which glorifies the self-sacrificial spirit of the mermaid. Note: Not referring to "Ariel the little mermaid" Ying Hui http://www.wecaretuition.com

My favorite story was Snow White and Rose Red. Not many seem to have heard of the story but it deals with two sisters who lived with their mother. There's dwarves, bears, curses and magic in it. Of course the happy ever after at the end. You can read it here if you would like to: http://www.childrenstory.com/tales/rose/

My favorate fairy tale is "snow-white princess".I have no idea if my translation is correct. In the story, there is a beautiful pincess,a bad queen, seven short men and a very handsome prince. I love Green's fairy tale, because it always has a happy ending.

I've always enjoyed the "Fractured Fairy Tales" featured on the Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoons. They always had a strange take on the real deal. When in college I did a research project on fairy tales. it was very interesting. I don't remember too much now, except in the Grimm's original version of Red Riding Hood, She gets eaten by the wolf, and there is no happy ending. They wrote a lot of stories this way--scaring children to be good instead of expecting them to be good.
