I have noticed that my article pay has went up when my clout went up. Has yours went up too? I love AC and they have now been paying me a little more for my articles and I think that it is awesome.

I've noticed that my pay rates have actually decreased. My offers did go up after clout was fixed, and before I know it, once they started showing pageviews, all of my offers suddenly started to plummit. I was getting about $10 or more for an article, now I'm lucky to get $5 or more for one.

Mine have been increasing relatively but I am in the 4-5 dollar range, so don't feel so bad. I'd be lucky if I got a 10 dollar offer. The only 10 dollar offer I've received was one for the How To's article.

Well I have joined Associated contents but somehow would like to know that what kind of articles attract more money, as your are being paid more can you do me this favor. It is really a good feeling when you get paid for your articles.

As Rosa said, your pay will increase when more people start reading your articles. I think it's nice to reciprocate when someone reads my article on Associated Content and leaves a comment, I try and go over and read a couple of theirs in turn. This way we are helping each other out, and you make some loyal friends. Not everyone will return the favor, but you learn pretty quickly who will. The best way to make money is to write articles on topics that are guaranteed a certain amount. For example, the "how to" articles were guaranteed $10 before Feb. 23. Not sure what happens after that date?

I have a lot of people that I am subscribed to so that I am sent an email when they publish something new.I always try to at least read one of their articles that are published per day. I may not get around to doing this though. I try to because like it was noted, they will usually read yours in return. I do a lot of promoting when it comes to my articles. I set up blogs dedicated to them so that people can go on there and check it out. If you would like more info on blogs that pay then you can visit my blog on my homepage and it will have a list that I use in there and a link for you to get started if you don't already do this.

Since I have only been with AC for only a month my clout level just went up to a 2 and my pay has also went up much higher. I also noticed the longer the article the more they pay which I think I read that point in one of your articles. I also love AC and wish I would have found them sooner. Lately I have been trying to make them longer since my pay went up. I made $43 in just 2 days. That was for 5 articles. When I first started I got $25 for 5 articles so I am definitely much happier with this pay. When I start an article now and I can't think of anything else to write in it, instead of leaving it the 400 or a little over words I save it on my Microsoft Word Processor and wait until after I go for a walk and that's when the rest of the article comes to me. I think it is better to do it this way than just leaving it too short. Because of doing it this way I was able to write a 1,000 and some word article a couple of days ago. I find it easier to concentrate when I let my mind rest. Especially going for walks. That helps me relax my mind and ideas come to me easier. :)

i also saw that after they introduced the new clout index presentation my avarage pay got decreased. but ai also remember one message i saw in forum that now AC came up with a better algorithm which will pay you in fraction of cents also. so earlier we used to only see round figure like $5, $8 , $10; but now you can be offered as $5.35 or $8.14 too. Still I saw that average $6 per article i received till date. I guess which is not too bad. Here is my link : http://www.associatedcontent.com/user/44280/satu.html

add a link here to your page and I will go check it out. I usually try to write at least five per day, yet sometimes this is almost impossible.

Everyone that responds to this discussion should leave their content link so we can all view each others and comment and rate. Like on one of Rosa's other discussions everyone did this and I now have a good bit of subscribers. here is my link: www.associatedcontent.com/cwilson26 This way we can help each other raise our clout levels and get a higher pay! :) I will subscribe to anyone who I haven't subscribed to yet and please do the same for me or at least add me to your favorites. :)

Mine actually decreased. I was slightly disappointed that they did. I know that highflyingxangel's has gone down drasticly because we basically room together. She has has some excellent articles that actually have been rejected.

I agree with you; the rejection is hard. My last article was rejected, and it certainly puts a damper on me wanting to write more for them. I always find another place to publish it, but it still strikes a blow, especially when you think the article is good, timely, and you spent some quality time writing it. I know that all of the great literary figures suffered rejection from their publishers, but it doesn't seem to make it any easier.

I have had a lot of really good articles rejected and it made me mad because of all of the time that I put into writing it. I can feel the pain coming from rejection.

not exactly the How To's...those are just what the content managers are looking for at the moment. They will send all the content producers an email in your inbox stating what they're looking for and how much they'll pay you for it. But as you build up your reputation at AC, your pay does go up. Page views (which raise the clout) correlate with your offers.

I always take advantage of the special offers. You make more money in there if you do this. Even if AC doesn't have a minimum offer, I still take advantage of them because they still pay more.
