Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; This word bless in this passage truly deals with us crying out to God "JEHOVAH" fervently for a change, to beg for deliverance! In the greek definition it says to invoke blessings, to ask God's blessing on a thing, pray God to bless it to one's use, pronounce a consecratory blessing on to beg!! When our Father was showing me this earlier today it completely floored me!! So when you read the be attitude in Matthew 5:1-48v mainly that 44v. Understand Jesus our lord and savior desires that "we" with our all, beg for a change in the lives our lost siblings! Bless those who persecute you and despitefully use you!! Tripped out, all things make since when you lean not unto your own understanding and research the definition of a word...

I love Matthew 5:44. I love the others too, but the first one has always really spoken to me. I have faced alot of adversaries in my life, and often when I am praying this verse will enter my mind. It reminds me to pray for those that have done me wrong, and to let God handle the rest. He will. Yes it does make sense. God Bless You.

Sweet, glad someone else out there enjoyed and responded! I looked up the opening of Mt. 5:3 Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed in this verse is used entirely differently than blessed in 44v which is why I wrote about 44v! Blessed in this verse means (3107*) A prolonged form of the poetical Makar (meaning the same) Av blessed, happy, happier; blessed, happy. when you reseach happy out it actually states to be ignorant of. Which surprised me as well, I better stop, I talk alot, because our Father teaches me alot, and we'll go on and on! Look forward to talking with you all again
