Me, i had my surgery on my left hand last monday. It has a cyst and need to be remove coz it's aching, specially we have cold weather..And i'm happy that at last it's already been removed. I had a safe surgery and lasts only 30 mins. I'm the one who is cleaning my wound and by next week i'll be going again to the hospital for the removal of stitches.. Do you had a surgery before? What kind of surgery? thanks in advance...

Yes, I had a hole in my small intestine, near the stomach, so I had to have surgery, I have a big scar on my abdomen, it has been about 2 and half years ago. I aso got my wisdom teeth out, I am not sure if you consider that surgery, but it was bleeding a lot. Have a nice day. Pablo

Yea, it was actually pretty fast, they took about 6 hours to do it. My parents thought it was fast and I don't remember a thing about the surgery ;) Pablo

Surgery is scary especially if you have had no surgery before. I have a site you can look at to ease your mind. It tells about all different kind of medical things. Diseases, on the diseases it covers the symptoms, what to do and even when to go and see a doctor. This is a free site and a excellent one. The site is: www.mayoclinic.com

I had eye surgery when I was about 6 years old because I was born cross-eyed. Now I am going to have to have eye surgery again, because I can't focus both eyes on the same object at the same time. I have also had a hysterectomy. That was about 4 years ago. I am also on the waiting list to have gastric bypass surgery...hopefully within the next month. I hope your hand is feeling better hon. Take care.

I have had two surgeries. About eighteen years ago, I had pre-cancer in the cervex. I had to have it removed with laser surgery. The problem never came back. Then two years after that I had my oldest son by c-section. It was uncomfortable, but the fact that I had a new baby made it worth it all.

I reread what I wrote. Just to clarify, when i had the laser surgery-I had the pre-cancer cells removed. Nothing else.

i'm glad to hear that you had a successful surgery. i hope you recover soon. as for me, i've already had 2 surgeries. the first was to take out a growing mole on my cheek. my uncle who's a doctor said that it may be cancerous since it was growing. so i had it removed via plastic surgery. i was, i think, in the 3rd grade then. the second was when i gave birth to my daughter via c-section. that was last may2005. i was awake during both operations. and both were successful -- no complications. thank God!

The only surgery I've had was having a cyst removed from my eye when I was small. I was only three years old so I don't really remember too much about it. I will be having surgery on my back when I'm done having all the children that I want to have.

The only surgery I've ever had was when I had my wisdom teeth removed. I guess that counts as surgery, lol. I hated that! I actually have to have surgery later this summer to have a cyst removed, and I'm a little nervous about it! I'm glad to hear yours went well though. That makes me a little less nervous about mine too. hehe

I ruptured my archilles tendon on my right leg 2-3 years ago and had to have surgery to repair it. I think it took over 2-3 hours (unsure) and then I was in a half/cast for six weeks. During that time I had physio 3 times a week to strengthen my archilles again. It took a couple of months to recover and now it feels like new again.

I have had three c-sections, a tubal ligation, and laporascope surgery to remove a cyst from my ovary. None of them were pleasant, but the most painful one was the tubal ligation.

Hope your hand is feeling better soon. I have only had small outpatient surgeries like having 2 wisdom teeth cut out and moles removed. Nothing serious.

I had an operation done when I was 10 years old. I had a cyst on my right ovary and it was to be punctured. I was not really scared at that time - it all seemed like a big adventure to me. But now when i realize i could have been treated by mere medicines alone and did not need surgery it makes me angry. Anyways Im happy your surgery went well.

I have had laproscopic gallbladder surgery. The only thing that hurt was when I tried to get up as I had to use my stomach muscles and they had made an incision in my belly button. My stitches just absorbed into my skin thank goodness.I hope you are doing better.

I had surgery on 3 January 2007, this year. They fixed a tear on the inside of my knee. It was a menesque tear and the only thing they could do was repair it. They made four holes in my knee and did the repair work through the holes. It was a very fascinating thing. The recoup is not as long as if he had had to open the knee up. That is what they had to do awhile back. I sure am glad that I live in the age of technology. Medical technology has made such advances today.

Yes I had surgery about 5 years ago to remove my appendix that had burst on me and was in hospital for one week. Long time to recover too. Also had surgery on my ear in January and turned out not to be what they thought so still having problems so going to get a second opinion.

My last surgery was to have a cyst removed from the inside of my left wrist. That went fantastically, and I had a really great surgeon. I didn't even have to stay in a hospital. I have had my appendix removed, a laproscopic surgery (a small camera inserted into my abdomen) and oral surgery. All of those were years ago, and the only one that gave me a minute of trouble was the oral surgery - had my wisdom teeth removed.
