I've got a little beagle named Maggie. She's adorable, but not very obedient. Every single time that we leave the house, she climbs up on the couch to look out the window, even though she KNOWS that she isn't supposed to be up there. She perches herself up on the top and peers outside -- when she gets tired of people watching, she takes a nap up there.
I have a friend who swears that by putting balloons on the couch, dogs will learn to stay away. I tried it and it worked -- for a while. We had the balloons up there for a few days, and for a good month or so afterward, Maggie stayed off the couch. She's back to her roosting place again now, though. I'm not sure just what to do -- I don't want to have balloons on the couch all the time!

Maggie is worried about her human, why not put a blanket up there for her, she wants to watch for your arrival home.

I have heard pigs are very intelligent. Guess that doesn't help when it is a pig though.

Pugs are cute. My son wanted a pug but we had a Bichon Frisse. 1 dog was enough for me even though I really love dogs. Our year disn't fenced so I don't want another dog until we have a fence.

Believe it or not but I had a male calico cat onetime. ALMOST all calicos are females and that's what made the cat so rare.

That was many years ago, but here is what happened. i had just given birth to my 1st born. The cat we had was an agressive sort who didn't like anyone. So, she ended up at my parents house and they lived on an acreage. Soon, the cat gave birth to three kittens, one of which was a calico. A few months later, she and the three kittens moved to a neighbors house and took up residence there. The neighbor took all of th ecats to the vet and had them operated. When she went to pick them up, the vet's assistant told her the calico was a male and very rare. But the surgery had been done and it was too late to do anything about it.

Wow. You like big dogs. I haveheard people say most pit bulls are really good pets, but I think I would be scared to have one. I guess there is an element of uncertainty with them, but I am sure you love your dog.
Does the Husky/Rotweiler look more like a Husky? or a ROtweiler?
