The Chicago Cubs have their first exhibition game today vs. the San Francisco Giants, and we're ready! This is our year. We'll win the division handlely. I think the Brewers will be close at our heels, but it'll be comforting to see the Cardinals battle the Astros for the cellar this year. Any differences of opinion? Let's go Cubs!

Offensively...they have Soriano, Lee, and Ramirez. There isn't a better three player combo in all of baseball (Yanks included!).
Pitching...they have the second best pitcher in baseball in Carlos Zambrano (Santana is #1). The rest of their staff is reliable, we won't have to be pulling guys up left and right from the minors to make up the rotation. And if Prior is back in full strength...look out!
The season will be made or broken in the bullpen. Hopefully, Dempster can pull his head out, but if not, I think Wood is a viable option for closing duties. But, again, the rest of the pen is suspect.

Of Course,lol!the cubs may win the division but my phillies are gonna win the worldseries-well lets what I keep telling myself anyway,lol!

Phillies should be decent. World Series, uh, no! Although Brett Myers is my dark horse candidate to win the Cy Young this year (if he can beat up on hitters as well as he does his wife). It won't be long before this guy is a superstar. I'm curious if Chase will repeat last year's numbers, or if he'll have the sophmore slump.

Wow did you guys watch the game? White Sox vs Cubs 13-2 Spring training games don't mean much but they are a showcase of prospects. I guess the only positive thing the Cubs got out of this game was Soriano's performance. The best part of the game was when Paul Konerko and Jermaine Dye hit those homeruns. Those must have been crushing blows to all Cub fans.

No difference of opinion here, This has to be our year. The Cubs are long over due. Looking forward to some great discussions over the summer.........GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Cubs!
