DOOR to DOOR Salemens, How DO you HANDLE them??

Today I was blessed with a door to door salesman selling magazines for a school funded project. Now mind he came to the door during school hours, but that is not what bothered me, what bothered me was his persistance for me to buy magazines. I already subscribe to about 6 magazines that I never read and he wanted me to subscribe to more, saying that if I didn't want them I could just put a fictious address in Iraq and he would still get the points for his project that he is working on. Needless to say it was difficult to make him leave, but he finally did. How do you handle door to door salemen??

Pretty much I tell them that I'm not interested & shut the door. I never open the door much. If I look out the peep hole & decided I don't like what I'm seeing I won't even open the door. I had the peep hole put on the door low so I could see out of it since I'm only about 5 feet tall.

I used to be nice to these people but after a while I got fed up with them calling. I started telling them I just wasn't interested but it was till quite difficult to get rid of them. I have now got a camera phone on my door so if I don't recognise the caller or if I don't want to talk to them, I just don't answer the door. They are easy to install and quite cheap if you ever wanted to get one.

First i never let them in the door. than ias ask them if i can see their permit from the city to give them permission to go door to door. If they say they dont need one i said i wil brb im going to call. As i come back to the door with my phone a lot of times they left. Other times i tell them im not interesred and if they keep bugging me i say my pit bull doesnt like being locked up when company is here let me let him out..HMMMMM i dont know why they leave....I dont even own a pit bull...
