dessert ideas with pastry dough!!...

Hi Chubby I make this dessert with puff pastry a lot and is always a hit.You can either use store bought apple sauce or make your own with the following recipe. 6 cups of apple peeled cored and roughly chopped 1/2 tsp cinnamon sugar to taste put apples in a saucepan and add water enough to cover the apples.Bring to a boil and simmer until apples are soft and pulpy.add cinnamon powder and sugar as per taste , some like this filling a bit tart so the sugar bit is upto you. Let the filling cool Grease a baking tray and place puff pastry sheet on it.Place the cooled filling vertically down the centre of the sheet.Cut the sides of the pastry into 1 inch strips and fold these alternatively over the apple filling pressing gently.Brush generously with egg wash and bake as per puff pastry pack direction or until the top is a nice golden brown. Cut into portions and serve immediately with vanilla icecream.

a quick and easy desert using "bang and bake" biscuits is monkey bread. We spray veg oil on our pan, place the biscuits in a ring touching each other and a couple in the center to fill the space up, pour some melted butter over all and sprinkle a lot of cinnamon sugar on that. After it comes out of the oven we pour a glaze made from 10x sugar (confectionery sugar) and water (or milk)
