How to Choose Effective Subject in myLot?

I'm 7 days old now at mylot and started some discussions. Every time I post a topic i'm trying my best to think of a "quality" post i will make, some i got response, others i didnt receive even one.
I feel that "subject" plays a major role in having a successful discussion. How do you choose you subject?

As u r new here om mylot, u will face the problem of zero responce. Everybody faces, as soon ur friend's list will go on increasing with ur stay here on mylot, u will receive atleast few responces, for each discussion. About topic it depends on friends like n dislikes,ur headlive should attract people to reply for it. (I too don't get much responces for many of the discussions). If topics r heavy like budget don't expect much responces.It its simple like what u like car or bike, u will get many responces.

But, earning u get seeks for quality of discussion n not the quantity.

"Catchy Headlines" - I got it.
*sign* - i thought im only the one having a ZERO response :) so it is normal huh..
hobby discussion most likely will have many response coz people always happy discussing their happy, i will create one discussion about it and lets see.. thanks for the idea.

It is all hit and miss really.I am one month mylotting now and the ones i think willget loads of respinses get few and the ones i think i won't get alook in have a trailof responses left behind them.I am the arch enemy of the 0 response topics soi will check you out in a minute lol. Have no fear General Wu Ji is here. That is one of my akas lol.

I see, but there should be a trend there somewhere.. right? Actually now I am observing my post and I usually get many respnse for the questions that answerable by How than what -
hehehe so General Wu Ji is in the house.. go and move forward to your crusade to ZERO-OUT, zero response discussion...

I would like to help you by this suggestion. If you do have a hobby then you can cater your discussions based on that. For example, if you like gardening, then post about nature e.g. plants, herbs, trees, fruits, soil, grasses, etc, etc.
For me, I like to read the newspapers at times and glean some ideas out of them.

Yeah you are right. Definitely subject matters. I have also experienced that. But number of factors are also there. I may add something that "make more friends & do respond your friend's discussions", it will help a lot having response. Start a discussion within a particular area of interest having the precise subject in short.

I agree with you aliasad. I'l note it.
Starting a discussion in an area of interest make sense..how can we achieve many response if we post movie subject in a bookworm interest - i like this one.
Adding friends and responging to friend discussion is also a good place to start...

yes u r correct if we post burning subject we can get nore number of responses very easily.If we post the subject without any matter so u cannot get any response from anybody.
