Mylot expanding too fast

What do you think of mylot getting so many new members? Do you think that more will go wrong because people will just post random stuff and 'wrong' posts? Do you think that we should limit the numbers or something? More security planted into the mylot system to control such behaviors? So, what is your opinion? Looking forward to hearing from you on this very important and contentious issue.

no i dont think there should be any limit..the more members are comming is better..because some members are getting tired and leaving ,its good that there are new members comming..i dont think there are many wrong posts, everybody gots their own opinion and way to express it..There are many strangers here, from all over the world, they dont speak english very well(me,one of them),and sometimes they make very banal posts and other members are attacking them,i think its not ok,there is no wrong post,if it doesnt contains voulgare words.

Hey Angelinka! You sure know how to write some good english! Well, I take your points into consideration and I have to agree with you to some extent. By the way, where did you learn english from? Did you learn it at school or was taught by someone else? It is interesting to know/find out how people got to learn the complex language of english.

Hey hi, you right friend mylot is expanding too fast, on every second there is a new memeber here, nice to hear this,as here you can make money just by answering discussions on mylot, and starting new discussions too, infact you can boost your earning by uploading photos, so keep posting quality responses, keep searching good discussions about which you know something and can answer, strictly avoid one liner posts, best luck and happy earning!!!...cheers!!

Well lets get a few facts right first. If you go to the bottom left of the navigation bar on this page you will see a link to 'users by rating'. Currently there are 1524 pages at 50 per page = 76,200 - the current population is shown as 76,163. OK you see what i mean. Now the top 1000 members have posted about 1000 posts and so should have been paid $10 at least once. The top 10,000 members have made 40 posts or more. The top 20,000 members have made 1 post or more! After 21,000 members they have made no posts at all - so 55,000 have done NOTHING. So we are not talking about 76k members clagging up the works. What we are seeing from those stats is that it takes 76 new mwmbers to make 1 member that might do enough work to earn once. We need as many members as we can get IMHO.

Nice comment. But, I dont understand what you mean by the first point that you tried in vain to explain. This is the fity-cent per page thing. Could you explain this in more detail? I just looked at it once and I can't seem to get what you are trying to tell us. Regards, Nick

See...? Smacksman's got a point. That's what I was trying to point out below, aswell. Plenty of members have signed in, yet there are few who actually do some work, few who make this page work for them. Most of the members are "give-up-ers".

I agree with you, the community is getting bigger and bigger on a fast pace. That's why mylot is asking for our support in maintaining the community safe and user friendly. But I noticed that only a few really cares to help and report any abuse that may arise in the community. I do believe, that as a concerned member of this community, like a concerned citizen of a society we must watch closely and be sensitive with our surrounding. Anything that we may feel abusive and threatening, we must report it to the admin. And they will do their part of checking it out. As a member we have an obligation to keep our community safe and healthy.

It is already happening.... the new memeber come on here and instantly post a discussion that has already been here... and with the amount of new members brings aload of spammers too... the downside to mylot growing is the fact that us that have been here for a while will have the tiring task of going through new discussions to find one we have not yet replied too. Im having this problem already and I havent been online for 2 weeks... I was on last night and today and already cant find anything new to respond to and it is beginning to tire me... I love being on mylot there are so many nice people and sometimes there are some really great discussions but i cant seem to find anything... :( i dont think mylot are able to control the amount of posts people make and what they post as there are too many people to watch... there cant be enough admin to control everyone

I think that we should not be affraid of those you write about, the ones who post wrongly. Anyone who is in pursuit of making money online and hears about this site, thinks that this is the way to earn some easy money. Well, I guess it is, but if you're not the type of person who can handle the requirements necesary to make this site work for you, you soon realize that this has prooven to be tougher than you may have thought. And prety soon they abandon the work, 'cose it takes them too much time to earn good money. For most of the GPT sites, you don't have to be very smart, although it does help a lot, but at the GPT forums, you can't get away with being stupid. So I really wouldn't worry about the "wrong posters", 'cose they will give up eventually.

I am not sure, I have often thought how it all works, I wonder if most of Mylot is done by computer, is there a Mylot exchange somewhere with heeps of operators checking through our posts or maybe just one poor little lonely computer person sitting for hours reading all out posts... there is a lot of daily posts, it would be a big job....so I don't know how the amount of members would affect things at all....

i really do hope the increase in numbers will not effect the quality of mylot but have a feeling it will. There are only so many good discussions, with so many involved we are either going to get a lot of repetes or the quality will be less

Good Question. When I joined the membership was around 40K now look at it! I don't think the numbers should be limited at all and I think so far the system is coping quite well - after all we don't want to become elitist do we? Random stuff and wrong posts will get deleted, because we should all report this kind of misbehaviour. Believe me it works! lol

I cannot imagine what you were expecting when you joined mylots, that it would be you and 6 of your best friends. making a $100 a day. That is what they pay you for is to get new people to join, so you are trying to defeat the entire purpose of mylot. I personally do not give a dam about referrals or the money, but the more people we have the more diverse the discussions the happier I will be. It is an open forum, If you want to control the numbers and content, you are on the wrong site, so bye and it has been fun discussing your leaving, you are leaving aren't you, because mylot is not going to change.

As long as we make the same amount of money for our posts and comments I dont see anything wrong in the community expanding. This is what they are paying us for, to create a big community and fill it with data. If mylot proves to be a successful community other forums will be forced to pay their users too, or they go here. Its great if users can get more power.

mylot will take care of that, we dont have to worry. they'll decide when there is enough or too much. i think the ones who work hard here will what they deserve. the ones with the worst answers, and the lowest ratings wont, so therefore the system of mylot will take care of that for us. the rules of mylot say that if u dont post quality answers and if people are giving u low ratings, at the end the day it all counts, if ur part of a bad discussion, it will be deleted and it will count against u, so watch for the kind of discussions u take part in.

as you are right, and it is expanding too fast, i don't think the site is going to do anything about it. I mean, already, i am not receiving any more email notifications, and it's frustrating because I'm always running another program and just usually use my email notifications rather than jumping on and searching for something i want to respond to.... Anyways, they also need to do something about the Meaningless posts out there, i mean there's hundreds and hundreds of them, probably thousands, and it doesn't look like they care that their system is being used pathetically.... It sure bothers me... But in their eyes, I'm a nobody right? I wonder if a whole bunch of people put in a request they could change something....

I think it is great cause we get a view from a different people from different countries. The random stuff is not a problem as the system doesnt rate spamers and etc. It rewards only good posts.
