Do you get snow where you live?

Blue Dawn - I was on one of my early morning runs when I took this picture. It was just barely dawn and I suppose because of the lack of light, the picture turned out 'blue.'

Actually, I really like the picture of this ice-covered river near my home, because it gives it a real winter feel.

I wonder how many people who visit mylot have never seen snow? I suppose there are many from arid countries where in never snows and you have only ever seen snow in books or on television. We are still in winter where I live in Canada and it is about this time every year that I can hardly wait for Spring and the warmer weather.

No, i dont even seen a snow. It's because i'm living in the Philippines, theres no snow, only rain and summer. My boyfriend who lives in Canada keep on telling me that its snowing this time in their country. Lots of children playing and having fun with snow. I think i would love it too. I really want to see the snow. Maybe someday, when i get marry with my boyfriend..lol

You would love it! But it would take a while to get used to the cold. Many Filipino people living in my city. Very nice, polite, quiet people.

I get snow where I live. I love snow. It is so pretty. I love the way if falls, and everything gets so quiet, and tranquil. I love the way it looks, with the lighs illuminating on it. Especially at Christmas with the Multi color lights.

Our country is a bit near the equator and we dont really experience snow in my country. But i dont regret living on this tropical paradise but at the back of mind I have always wanted to feel the winter bliss. There are always things that would keep us from wanting things that we dont have or things what we have'nt experienced.

You are exactly right. I live just a one hours drive from the Rocky Mountains and some of the best skiing in the world, but seldom drive out there. Yet I will spend thousands to go to the Caribbean almost every year.

Just once in your life you should lay on your back in beautiful, soft snow and make a snow angel.

I'm one of them who never seen real snow. I stay in Malaysia where we can enjoy three seasons in a day. It's spring in the morning, summer at afternoon and autumn at evening. People here also can experience "whole year is summer time, autumnnal feeling after a rain":)

Thank you for the response. Sydney is beautiful. I really enjoyed watching the Sydney Olympics. I am also a triathlete and enjoyed watching Simon Witfield win the gold medal on the triathlon course along the harbor.

I'm in NY... I'm looking out the picture window and all I see is snow! OK so really I see snow and some green grass and some mud-- It's slowly starting to warm up.. We had alot of big snow storms this winter- And I'm also ready for Spring. My daughter wants to build a couple more snowmen and go tubing a few more times so she is hoping for a couple more storms! : ( Don't get em wrong I too love the snow! I love to be outside when its snowing and catch snowflakes on my tongue.. make snowangels, sled and tube, make snowmen, have snowball fights.. But I'm ready for Spring and the great flowers too!

Yuppers. I actually thought that it was over for this year. That spring was finally on its way. We had a few flakes the other day but they were just small and dry - nothing to worry about. Then I wake up to the sound of the snowtrucks on the roads this morning and when I look outside we've got another 2 inches or so of wet stuff. And it's been snowing all day. Winter is back in full force :(

unfortunately we have no snow here in the philippines. it's a tropical country. we only have rainy season and summer, and the coldest temperature ever recorded is 9 degrees celsius. i think it's still warm compared to your place. =) but i would love to see snow personally. maybe in the future. =)
