Do people answer your questions?

I don't really mean in myLot, but in general, in real life when you ask someone a question, do they answer it? My husband never answers my questions that I ask him and it's very annoying - this is probably our biggest "argument". I just asked him if his blood pressure was good (we're trying a new suppliment for it and he checks it almost every day) and he gives me two numbers. Well, I have told him I have no clue what those numbers mean, it's just not something I can retain with all that other stuff in my brain. I wanted either "Yes, honey, it's good" or "No, honey, it's not good". If I would have wanted to know what his blood pressure was, I would have asked him that! He does this all the time!!! I'll ask him if he paid a certain bill and he'll tell me the balance in the checking account. ARGH!!! This is soo frustrating. I'll ask him if he's going hunting this weekend and he'll say Joe needs to buy some bullets. ---- You get the picture. Am I the only that is annoyed by this? Or is my husband the only one that does this???

I love it when people answer your question with another question. That irks me. Sometimes my husband will give me an answer that is totally off the question. I give him that puzzled look.

Oh, you TOTALLY understand what I'm dealing with then!!! When I tell my husband to "just answer the question I'm asking" he gets frustrated with me!

I get this occasionally too - but it's just a fact you have to live with. People generally love to talk more than they listen. People are just poor listeners nowadays - partly because they feel and want the world to revolve around them. For my case, if I feel that my questions are being ignored, I just stop asking them. And when I ask a question, I make sure I have or get the attention of the people first.

I kind of know how you feel. My brother irritates the crud out of me because there are times when I tell him something and he doesn't even acknowledge that I've said a word. If repeat what I said he gets mad and get into big argument. I've learned to say what I have to say if acknowledges it fine he doesn't fine.
