United for the TREBLE?????

Manchester United just beat Liverpool with only ten men. We are 1-0 up in the first knockout stage of the champions league and in the quarter finals of the FA Cup. To all you Manchester United fans out there, DO YOU THINK WE CAN DO IT AGAIN?

Man United can win the Premiership, however the Champions League is a completely different ballgame. You need lots of luck to win the Champions League, strange things happen on the matchday and it is very difficult to predict who will eventually win the Champions League. However, i still feel Liverpool would perform better than Man United in Champions League especially with their performance against Barcelona. If Liverpool eliminate Barcelona, then i think they will in all probability lift the trophy, their only challenge can come from Inter Milan. However, Fergusons job is saved for this season, even if they lose in Champions League now it does not matter. It is Jose Mourinho's turn to feel the shiver down the spine, unless Chelsea win the the Champions League, he will have a tough time saving his job.

I think its possible after today's result. Premiership is wrapped up now. Now they should concentrate on Champions league and Fa cup.

I wouldn't say the premiership is quite wrapped up yet, but it's looking good, very good. Remember, we still have chelsea away which I don't think we'll win, and if we slip up in 2 other games (2 draws, or a loss and a draw) and chelsea continue to win their remaining matches then we lose the title. United have to keep their heads in the premiership but like you said put extra concentration into the 2 cups as they are knockout competitions now and a loss can end it for them. I really hope this is a treble season for us. Alex Furgerson RULES!!! And so do the team. :-)

We can win the treble or lose it all . But still I would be very glad at the way the boys have performed this season :)
Yeah EPL looks a done deal . Just dont do any mistakes and title is in the bag :)
FA cup , well number one ,w e must win against boro at riverside , a tough game it will be
then we must get a good draw , i dont mind playin watford / plymouth :P
and if we go to finals , we arewinning it
and UCL
ahh its not our main priorities practically
We are in the trophy
looks like we are going to quarters , after effin lille . hence We get addition 3 million dollars
i see us going till semis atleast
but after that , we must get the luck the champions deserve

Man U is definitely in the reckoning for the treble, though I feel Premiership might be the only trophy they would finally land up with this year. They still need to develop a bit more for continental success. Nothing can be predicted in FA cup as one performance is enough to seal the fate.
Coming to today's match, Liverpool dominated the early proceedings and it was a bit lucky for United at the end after Scholes got sent off. Liverpool would rue the handling of set pieces at the end of this year.
