guys, have you read some posts discussing about "I hate response like this!",or "Pls. don't response if it's out of topic",or "Wrong grammars,or english!"...my tongue is not an english, and if ever i reply to a certain post i see to it that it will not make the poster irritated or what,i usually try my best to form an english phrase containing my idea. But when i see that kind of post that is warning us of good response, then i'm afraid to response..i memorize the poster's names and promise not to response in any of their discussion!promise!I don't want to feel the rejection!

I face the same problem here, my mother language is not english, so I made my best when I start a new discussion or want to response. sometimes I have good ideas to share with friends and all members but I am always hesitate to response. well, but as we know mylot forums are for all members and consequantly their must be weak language and mistakes in some topics , anyway, we (non speaking english members) do our best so to share our ideas with others.so my advice to you is simply "just do it".

You have expressed well in this dialogue. It is not necessary that your mother tongue must be English. Mine is not English. Just write your thoughts but ensure that it is related and has essence. Keep it up ammar Cheers

Goodness! You should not feel pressurised, my friend. This is a world of free speech. Regardless of what the poster says, if you feel you have something to add and you want to add, go ahead! What is the worst that can happen? If you are not being intentionally rude or provocative, no one will be unhappy at you. At the worst, you will get a few "-"... your rating may suffer a bit but if your conscience is clear, don't worry too much. I have seen some people with relatively poor ratings - and I am honestly surprised - because judging by the quality of their posts, they deserve much better. So relax, just continue posting and... have fun. ;-)

i don't think it's right to post such lines saying "i hate responses like..." since this is a discussion site and we are all welcome to air our views in any topic there is or lines such as "wrong grammar is not allowed" since according to mylot guidelines, noone is allowed to criticize negatively people who can't speak english well. that's so rude of people to post. they should atleast be aware that this site welcomes everybody around the world and that many people aren't really well versed in english. if they insist, they should create their own forum wherein only people with great english grammars are allowed to join. well, i have nothing against "pls. don't response if it's out of topic". i also hate responses that are obviously out of the topic since it's already nonesense. noone wants to be rejected. such people should be reported to our mylot moderators and get acted upon.

Thank you for the response...But you know when i read such kind of phrase "don't answer if it's out of topic",i feel different because what if a non=english man try his best to response and he come up with an idea that he thinks it conform with the topic,i'm sure he would feel ashamed. For me,when i cannot express my idea on it,i didn't response.anyway, thanks for the response.god bless!

Sahira, you should not feel like that. Some people complain and offend others and it is not right. Let's be friends and we can answer each others posts. I will NOT offend you in any way and don't worry if you make any mistakes, we all do, no one is perfect. OK. My name is Howard.

Hi Sahira, don't be disheartened just because some members are posting such issues. Wrong grammars and mispelled words are understandable. As a matter of fact, your english is not that bad. Try to make sure you post your response that is relevant to the discussion. Rest aasured, I'm one of those members who judge a fellow members based on their english proficiency. You'll learn as you go on. I wish you all the best. Happy posting.

There are just as many people whose primary language is English that cannot spell nor do they have strong grammatical skills. It is shameful that someone would belittle another member for any reason. Your responses are always welcome my dear. It is not the spelling or grammar that counts, it is the content of the response. Huggers to you.

Sahira, I'm English so it's very simple for me to respond, but I'm quite capable of understanding what you're saying, as you English is very good. Please don't ever be afraid to respond to my discussions. I will never reject your responses. I'll acknowledge them in the best way possible. I've sent you a friends request and given you a + for this discussion. Please, please, don't feel inferior because you find English grammar difficult. We appreciate your participation. Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Don't worry about your english and grammer or the spellings even. Just try to explain your thought in detail as possible as you can. There are few users who mind these things but with my experience so many users respond to people or users like you without any hesitation. It's assumed that there will be some difference in the language translation. Continue your participation with the same previous spirit. Wish you a happy experience here in mylot in future.

Yes I have read some of these discussions where members are stating this, I do not understand myself why people want to discuss something when they are stating this in their discussions that is not right. I agree with what you are saying here and would not want to feel rejected.

Hi Sahira, my mother language it is not English too. So since I know that I made many errors, I add a sentence like this to my comments; "My native language it is not English so I made grammatical mistakes. Sorry : -) " I think that in this way I won't have problems.

No ones spelling and grammer are perfect all the time but it's those annoying ones where you cannot understand a word they are trying to say and I can say for one you should not be worried Yours is very good and understandable.... Most of them discussions are refering to those who are really bad and their responses are very short not understandable.... Don't worry your responses I'm sure are fine:) I wouldn't say your one of them....

I would respond anyways to the discussion if I had something to say. I find that the majority of the members here aren't perfectly and grammically correct one-hundred percent of the time. Heck English is my native tongue and I still can't write it perfectly. Dang punctuation and spelling get me most of the time. I can basically understand everyone here. Some are just not willing to take the time to fully understand the phrasing, or not willing to ask questions to clear what the person was trying to say. So keep posting wherever you feel you have a say in something. People need to get it through there heads that English is a second language to many and is a rather hard language to fully understand.

You are taking this waaay TOOO seriously, my friend. Just try to get your message across as best as you can. Just mind the "essence" of what you are trying to say and that's about that.

I don't really take a consideration on peoples grammar. The thing is one, i understand what you said, and you understood my reply. Is there someone who esteem grammatical response so extreme??
