Woow WIndows Vista.. what a hot subject i can say. I have talked a lot in my area with many of my friends and all of them had only positive thoughts about it. I can say that i was blow off by this new windows system. Some things certainly lack to it but this new look which Microsoft has incorporated in it certainly do the money you would give for it. I have waited this new system for 2 weeks and here i am using it. It was pretty hard for me to buy it because in my area it can't be found. So i had to ask a friend from another part of my country to order me. I am so happy using it and all i have are only words of gratitdue. I post here a short description about VISTA. Windows Vista contains hundreds of new features; some of the most significant include an updated graphical user interface (GUI) and visual style dubbed Windows Aero, improved searching features, new multimedia creation tools such as Windows DVD Maker, and completely redesigned networking, audio, print, and display sub-systems. Vista also aims to increase the level of communication between machines on a home network using peer-to-peer technology, making it easier to share files and digital media between computers and devices. For developers, Vista includes version 3.0 of the .NET Framework out of the box. The .Net Framework makes it significantly easier for developers to write high-quality applications than with the traditional Windows API.

I have computers running both.I like the added security of Vista and the really nice Aero theme. On the other hand,my XP is just as pretty (StyleXP)just as fast and secure.Granted I had to add several bits of software to get it there but it can be done.Overall,I'd say to stick with XP and not upgrade if you have it already installed.IF you're buying new then give Vista a look.;-)

I will continue using Windows 2000.I like it better than XP or Vista.Ofcourse XP or Vista have more features than 2000 however it is more stable than the others.Maybe after sometime i will use XP as Microsoft is stopping support for 2000 and most of the softwares will support XP or higher version, but until that happens i will stick to good old 2000. As it is said "Old is always gold"

Windows Vista is still at it's beginning, still having problems and bugs. I don't see why I should upgrade yet, XP is running fine for me. Maybe just to try something new... But if it's intersting things your'e after, there are much more cooler things to check out than Vista. I saw a clip on youtube for example, showing Linux Ubuntu Beryl. It has some effects that you wouldn't see anywhere else...

I got windows vista in the beta stage RC1. Thought it was an improvement, but I really get annoyed when it constantly asks me to make sure that I wanted to do something. This is probably good for the typical end user, but not for me, I know what I am doing on the computer. I feel like disabling that feature but that would be really be disabling the only security in vista. So in other words I like both vista and XP but until I get use to vista I still prefer XP.

ill continue using XP for a while longer before i get vista. It has high amounts of memory that it needs and all new viruses will now come out on Vista and not on XP. and also i dont think that my old computer will be able to handle it, hahahaha
