Nano technology is small machines,or robots, To build them you need a microscope. This idea has been around for a bit,and it has some amazing potential, like if they used them in medical sceince. They could theoreticaly seek out and destroy viruses or cancer cells ect.they would float through your blood stream attacking anything that should not be there. But it has a sinister side as well.Imagine microscopic robots meant to harm you from within.or for spying purposes, youd never know they were there. They could perform micro surgury on your heart or brain ect. That technology in the wrong hands could have awful results for human kind.If used right,it could benefit mankind.Imagine never being sick as long as you had colonys of zillions of this tiney robots in your blood stream. Or in combat,if your shot, and the bullet comes through, they could set to work mending tissue, bone and damaged blood vessels. The possibilitys are endless, but for every good use for them, there could be 100 bad uses. They are studying this idea and have had some success actually making them.

I personally feel we need a single device which will take in new technologies and add its functionality into it and do that work also.
For example, our cell phone is doing so many jobs already. What if it can start doing the whole new functionality through a software upload / hardware upgrade. That way we need not keep buying whole new devices as and when they are invented.
