Trusting God

This is a sticky one. Does anyone out there have trouble trusting God?? I use to and have finally found my way to trusting Him completely. After 3 heart attacks, a pulmonary embolism, lupus, and pinzmetal angina, I have found my way to completely trusting His will. Anyone else have a similar story??

I have a million stories of where my faith was challenged. We all do, as humans. I feel very fortunate to always hold my head high, and no that the Lord has it in His hands, and that all things happen for a reason. We may not know these reasons why until we get to Heaven, but I can wait that long. :)

I feel the same way. IT has taken years for me to come to a place where I can honestly say "I get it". I am actually writing a book about my childhood and the things I have overcome. I am working hard to teach my children to trust God and have a personal rship with Him at a young age. They have all three made a profession of faith but as a single mom, I am sure there will be trying times for them. I just know, God is the father to the fatherless, so we'll be fine.

I'm very concerned about this matter, but unfortunately I haven't found any solution to my lack of trust. I really cannot find any justification for certain things that happen, and I cannot conceived a single reason that I might find sufficient to accept them. I don't have the trust you have, and don't appreciate God's will.I know, as all of us, that there is too much pain in the world. On the other hand I really which I could change this state of mind I have, it is very negative and sed, but unfortunately it reflects what I feel. I'm very happy for what you reached

Let me say, when I finally came to the realization that "I am what I think". When I heard of the Law of Attraction, which states we attract what we think, it made perfect sence. How many time did God tells us to ask in faith believing we would receive it. How many times did He tell us not to worry. First, you need to replace that tape player in your head. We all have them. Mine use to tell me over and over again that I would never be good enough, that I would never succeed, that I would never have any more than I did at that very moment. THe longer I listened, the longer I believed. I am currently writing a book about that very subject. You have to replace your tape player. You have to start telling your self positive things to replace the bad.. As long as you are thinking negatively, that is what you will attract. Start by putting signs up on every mirror in your house. Things like "I am the strongest person I know", " I WILL reach my goals", "I deserve to be happy". You have to change your way of thinking before anything in your life will change. Ask in faith that you will receive the desires of your heart. That is a promise from God. An absolute promise. "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart". Each time you think something negative, replace it with a positive thought.

also... Remember He came so that we might have life and live more abundantly. He promises to supply ALL our needs according to His riches in glory. NOT trusting God is like slapping Him the face and telling Him he can't handle our problems. If He cared enough to give his very life, don't you think he cares about the little things? We were meant to live miserably. He is the joy in our hearts and to live negatively is a direct sin against Him!!! Have faith, Girl, step out on that water and take His hand...He is incapable of breaking his promises and he has promised to catch us!!!! it is a truely an amazing thing when we learn to live on His promises rather than our own understanding...
