my favorite one is "you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for everything."

I have come across many excellent sayings over the years.
It is hard to choose one but I do have sort of a favorite, that makes good sense to me.
"Today is the first day of the rest of your life."
Basically, to me it means you are always able to change the path your life is taking.
