At Easter time the 1956 Classic "The Ten Commandments" with Charlton Heston and Yul Brynner comes on TV, do you watch it? What is your favorite scene in this movie? Mine is when Moses parts the sea, I love the special effects.

I also love that old movie. It was well made and very moving. My favorite scene also was when God parted the sea. What surprised me was finding strong proof on the web that Moses and the children of Israel crossed the sea at the upper end of the Gulf of aqaba.

It's a tradition in this house for sure! What is so odd is that it's not really an "Easter" story is it? LOL I know it's a tradition for television but I always why they didn't put on something more "Easter" oriented. But we always watch it for sure! I too love the parting of the sea and the way it closes on the Roman soldiers. You're right, the special effects for that day in age is absolutely remarkable!

Yes it is not an Easter story, I don't know how that got started. There is a great cast in that movie. I will be ready with the popcorn, chips and soda. LOL

My favorite part was when Moses (actually is was God's power) to open the sea that would let the Hebrews walk on to dry land from Egypt to the other side of the Red Sea... I always play that part of the movie before I go to work! Hehehehehe
