I like so many of the responses i get on mylot, do i have to choose a best on each topic? And if so is there a time line i should do this? Some times the responses are so simular that i really couldn't fairly choose one if i wanted to. What is the norm on this?

you just have to go with your gut feeling on this one. true, there are many responses that are good, but there is bound to be one that is a wee bit better. it may be better articulated, maybe witty or may bowl you over with its sincerity...there are no fixed guidelines on this. as for the time limit, i think that one should mark the best response after 3-4 weeks of the last response you got. getting replied to here on mylot is pretty much by chance, unless you have dedicated friends, so you ought to wait a while before bestowing the precious best response tag. as for the query ' do i HAVE to'?, i guess you are under no obligation to do so, but it would be nice to acknowledge a person's time and effort, especially if you like the response. speaking from personal experience, i definitely love getting best response tag to my replies as it eggs me to do better....hope you are getting my drift! lol but seriously though, if none of the responses you like, then dont tag 'em.

It's better if you do. It's the part of the prceedure to earn better if you choose best responses. Maybe it takes a bit of time, but it's worth it.
