Have you been called by someone a NERD?

During my highschool days, I seldom join gimmicks, hangout with frinds. I often go hom efrom school to home directly. A friend one called me a nerd because of that. Do you think I deserved to be called a nerd by not just joining them often for hangouts?

well thats just plain rude.i have been called a nerd several times and even today lots of people call me a nerd.I usually score very high marks in my exams and i have topped my class almost each year.So they assume that i study a lot and thats the reason they call me a nerd.people who actually know me know that i dont study as much as probably even they do inspite of me scoring more than them.but other people rarely understand this and so they call me such things.

I was never called a nerd but was called other names when I was younger . I wouldn't worry about it too much and would tell your friend that if he didn't realize how important spending time at home was then he was the nerd for not understanding how important family was .
