What do you think is the best way to make money on the net?

I write a lot and design banners as such, but in my free time I would like to earn extra cash, but what have you tried which you recommend and which you have been paid for and which pays a resonable amount?
Also ones which you don't have to pay to join would be good :-)

The one I have worked as a contractor for is being a work at home agent. You answer calls on your home phone. It pays every two weeks and you are paid usually for talk time. You can set your own hours so that is very helpful for me. www.workathomeagent.com will tell you how to apply. I have just started as a ChaCha guide and it pays for you to do searches.
