The big news story is this 17 year old kid that decided it would be funny to get his 4 and 2 year old nephews high on pot. Looking at the video it is obvious it's not the first time these toddlers have smoked this. What was this guy thinking? Oh yeah, he wasn't he was high. I'm not trying to be anti marijuana here, I smoked my fair share and then some back in the day, but never put my kids or anyone elses in joepardy because of it. Had this been my sibling doing this to my kids I'd disown him/her. What about you? What do you think is the proper punishment for this?

This case sucks all the way around. How can two people be so stupid? I saw the mother on television tonight. She's not to bright either. She feels her brother and friend shouldn't go to jail. She wants them to get probation. I hate to say this, but those kids need to be taken away from her until she grows up. She seemed like a kid herself. This is a direct result of babies having babies and no real father figures living in the house. Lloyd

I havent seen the story on the news. I dont get much of a chance to watch tv. But if she doesnt think the brother should be going to jail, then she sure doesnt sound like she is mature enough to put the interests of her children first. People like this infuriate me.

He definitely deserves jail time. That is a form of child abuse. It's hard to tell what kind of long term effects it may have on the children. I saw the video and about flipped out. They said that the mother was asleep and this was her brother and one of his friends. They have took the children to foster care, which is probably better. The grandmother was on tv talking about how friends had visited her grandson and about how he cried and was sorry about it. I thought, QUITE TAKING UP FOR HIM, HE MAY BE SORRY, BUT HE NEVER SHOULD HAVE DONE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE. It's a sorry state when people so blantantly harm children and videotape it for pleasure. Disgusting.

5 to 10 years should do the trick behind bars. Ignorance is bliss they say so this idiot must be one happy fellow. They say pot doesn't do anything to you well this guys proves it makes you stupid. Then be stupid enough to video tape it. I would have to say I would disown him after I beat the crap out of him.

In this issue, I believe that the mother should have been observed her son and the nephew. Seems like the teenagers had been smoking well before this video. In this case the mother lost the kids and both teenagers are jailed the 3rd one the one filming it, he is in juvenile detention center... I believe parents should be paying attention to what goes on in the house. Pot is not ordorless you can smell it and it lingers throughout the home... I think the mother knew just trying to cover herself... I believe everything they are doing is the proper punishment, I also beleive that they should be tested randomly...

That is awful! I hope he is punished. Here I am trying to get my 33 year old husband to pull his head out of his butt and quit doing the stuff for the sake of our son, and this kid is trying to get toddlers hooked on it. I would be so furious, brother or not, I would want him do be punished. I cant imagine what the poor mother is going through.

Man this guy needs some serious educating if you get what i mean! I guess he thought he was being funny being young and stuff but that is an insult to all young people who dont act like this a hole. Stick him in the nic and let the daddy have his way with him to teach him a lesson

I wouldn't disown them but I can see why those kids were taken out of their homes..were they? I'm basing this on the posts.

How ridiculous. I saw this on the news last night--the video was very upsetting to watch. They all need some jail time, including Mom for negligence. What is she doing sleeping while her 2 year old is getting stoned? Very sick indeed!

What an ignorant stupid little ***** - my blood's boiling here! If he'd done that to my kids I'd beat him up - it wouldn't matter what the authorities did I'd make him pay my own way. His age does not excuse his behaviour - at 17 I was doing all sorts of stupid things but I'd never have done something as evil as that. He's just a total and utter moron who deserves a slap. How old was the mother? Young I'm presuming otherwise she'd have had more sense than to leave her two children in the care of such an idiot.

Pretty ridiculous! That sibling deserves to be punished or shoud I say he supposed to be in jail at this time. I think parents should be observant with whoever they entrusted their children to watch to, wether a family member or not.
