I have had some problems with getting paid for my referals on Associated Content and for one of the pieces that I wrote for them. Has anyone else tried to contact the people at AC? Has anyone had any success? It seems as if there are no real people there to answer their e-mails (and I have sent a few and to various people).

I've had no problem contacting them. Did you email admin@associatedcontent.com ? The editors and others have their own email addresses, but the admin address seems to get responses better.

It's hard to get a reply from most of them. Miguel@associatedcontent.com is the best as far as actually getting a reply and a problem fixed.

I have joined Associated Content, but I have not submitted anything yet. I have not tried to contact anyone at the site, so I am somewhat in the dark. I'll try to keep an eye on this discusssion so that I can learn more. I do have something written that I had posted in the music section of a forum that ended up having to be reinstalled from scratch, but it is a bit heavy because it is actually a criticizing writing.

I don't think they're paying for referrals anymore. Before they said it was $3 per referral up to December 31st of 2006. Now it's 2007 so I'm thinking they stopped. I noticed a lot of my referrals didn't get paid for, but it turns out that when the thing says, "Published" it means "Submitted", so they actually have to be published or you don't get $3. So only if you really know the person you referred, will you know they were really published. I've had emails answered there on various occasions. It usually takes up to a week though.
