Once I met a guy on the street who claimed to be a magician.He asked me to think of a very dear person about whom no one could have known. I did...and after about 10 seconds he gave me the person's name. I just kept staring at him and then started laughing.He never told me how he did it and walked away with a smile on his face. There was No way anyone could have known about that person I thought of. How do you explain this? Have you had anything this strange or anything completely inexplicable happen to you?

When I was very young and got my first car, I loved to just go for long rides. I lived in southeast Michigan at the time and took my date for a ride and drove past Henry Ford's mansion. The was a steady procession of cars driving by the house. In the doorway, I saw the image of Henry Ford in white light looking out the door and thinking "why don't they just leave me alone?" Neither of us spoke at first then I proceeded to tell her that I saw him and started to describe him. My date finished the description and we both mouthed the words that he thought at the same time!

Bluewings,do you watch hindi movies?If yes ,then watch the sequel 'Lage Raho Munnabhai'.It shows exactly the same thing that you are saying.Until now I never thought it can hold true for anyone.

Yes, I have watched LRMB and you know what? I was having a conversation with a friend who was explaining Dutt's Gandhigiri to me and I mentioned this chapter from Mr Hill's book to her.She reacted exactly the same way telling me he ( the director) must have read this very book ,lol.Did you read Think and grow rich? If not ,then read it when you have some time and you would know what I mean :-)

Once I was reading the section ''The door to the temple of wisdom' from Think and grow rich by Napoleon Hill in which he describes how you could use your subconscious to put together great men/women (who have inspired you), to solve your problem for you.He suggested imagining discussions with them and think like they would have when faced with your kind of situation.It occured to me what if our imagination is so powerful that they truly come alive in our mind and we have a problem separating ourselves from these great mentors.It could be exciting ,yet worrying.It's a complex topic I guess.

alas no, i have never run into such an interesting person,wish i would..think about it this way..everything around us is ENERGY manifest in different ways perpetually radiating ..if one is tuned into that frequency, one can easily pick up the signals..take for example a radio station tower which is transmitting signals-- any radio be it one mile off or ten miles off will catch the signals at the same time if there is a match in the frequency..ditto for human beings..what that guy must have done is tuned himself mentally into your frequency and hey pronto he read your mind..

Yeah, you put it rightly and I would like to believe that it's a form of science that has eluded me so far.When interpreted in terms of electromagnetic waves ,it's understandable,but isn't it a great thing that someone who could do that and benefit from it isn't really using it unfairly? Maybe after the knowledge of the 'absolute',everything else becomes trivial.

Well,I can't figure out how exactly he could tell your friend's name. But I think everyone(almost)encounters premonitions at some point or the other.Only,we do not realise its importance,or,don't want to believe it.If asked,most of the people would agree of having gone through such an experience,as it is evident here too in all the replies.These response are really interesting . I too have,many a times,dreamt of incidents which have happened later.Sometimes its very clear and sometimes symbolic.I have learnt not to give it much thought 'cause afterall,its just instinct and you really can't find a solid explanation. But must say that a couple of times,I have been taken aback by the similarity of a new place to the one I saw in my dreams.It was kind of scary.

I can relate to that.Yes, it happened to me too,only that in my case it was a person.In our dreams,sometimes the faces keep changing,well, at least in my dreams ,lol and I had seen a persona's face whom I didn't know.Imagine my reaction when I meet a person with ''That'' face,lol.( I am being 'completely' honest)I could have almost told him that I had seen him before, in my dreams:-P at the cost of sounding the biggest lunatic on the planet ,LOL

OMG!!This is something really bizzare.I mean there must be something....some explanation for this.Supernatural power, sixth sense or ???? Any way good sense prevailed,otherwise you could have shocked the life out of him.Lol:-)

And ended up in an asylum,lol.Yeah,good sense prevailed because I was afraid.Fear is not always bad,lol.

Yes. I have encountered a person who claimed to be a religious medical practitioner. He related to me about a private conversation I had with my partner one week ago. It was fascinating, and I was very surprised because there is no way anybody could know about this conversation.

So, it's not just me ,lol.You know,after the man was gone ,I tried to think if he could be a friend of my friend, but the possibility was very remote considering he was not from our country and he had a cameraman moving with him.I think it probably is a science that I am not yet aware of.I am sure that surprise and awe would have stayed with you for some time.

Wow-- that's a fascinating experience you had! I am not sure if it is supernatural, or not-- but I sometimes have dreams with various people in them, and later (days, months, years) I MEET those people. It can be a little strange, because I am suddenly in a situation where I "know" someone, and even "know" what they will say next... like I am watching both reality, and a "film" inside my head. It doesn't happen very often, fortunately, or life would become VERY confusing.
@bluewings (3857)

Sure it would be very confusing,lol.I ,too, had those feelings of deja vu in the past.It's been some time since then and I am never sure whether it happened the first time in my real life or in dreams...

Now THAT would be a pretty cool experience. Did you call or get in touch with that person after that? I would have taken it as a sign that you should be at least calling that person to say hi. :) I can't say that I have had an experience like that. I have had things happen that make me turn my head and think...but that would have been a great experience! :)

This is really funny! How can that guy do that? God knows! XD Is it a kind of supernatural? I don't think so. I think it is just a coincident! What do others think?

Ummm..I don't know .It couldn't have been a coincidence as it was hard for him to have known my friend because he didn't live in our country.Moreover,I never mentioned my friend to anyone and I don't think he would have been a friend of my friend's and chased me down just to surprise me.Thanks for your thoughts.

Wheww! sounds so exciting to experience that by myself you're one lucky guy bluewings!! I guess you are so amaze with the man's answer that you are left speechless lol!!! I didn't experience that but I have some premonitions some called that I don't want to entertained as another talent I have lol! but some of the events that I felt might happend and some that flashed into my mind are do really happens that's why sometimes when I felt negative about a thing to happened to a close relatives I don't want to entertain that thought, kindda weird to me but almost all that I picture out to happen it really does. That's why I don't tell anybody aside from my husband ang my 2 close friends and you know when I said something to them right before it happened and after the event happened they are speechless because they somewhat believe but I myself don't want to enriched that thing to myself I just want to live a normal life lol!!! Sometimes I just want to stop thinking of what is going to happen for I felt really weird about it.

Wow,that's an amazing gift to have.I bet those two friends of your's and your hubby feel very lucky,lol!! Good that you don't want to use it.I guess that's why you have the gift so you could use it only in exceptional circumstances.

Sometimes my hubby would just asked me "are you feeling anything wrong?" he knew me when I sense something not good and not felt of telling it that's why I prefer to be so busy to keep that thought away specially it is not good about a certain relative about to happen. I just call that relative and tell him to be careful in a way that he will not suspect I knew,ssshhh it is our little secret ok.

I've had a few experiences, one's that are personal to the extent that I would feed uncomfortable divulging on the net, however aside from those I have had a premonition. Me and my dad were driving around a very windy country road, which he knew extremely well, so although he wasn't being dangerous, he was driving confidently. At one point I just said Dad, you really have to slow down a bit, and keep right over to our side of the road (bearing in mind a very narrow road), there's a huge white lorry that's coming round the next bend. There was no way at all that I could have seen anything in advance, and in fact I was proven wrong, there was nothing around the bend, but there was around the next one, and yes, it was a huge white lorry. I get goose bumps thinking of it.

I would have felt weird too ,if I had that experience.I had one of those moments when I was much younger.I was travelling with my sisters family and sitting in the front seat.I had a feeling that we would have an accident.In those days we didn't strap ourselves up in the car.I didn't realise the front door by my side wasn't locked.When my uncle stepped on the brake,the door opened and I flew out and the tyres of a truck halted right in front of my hands.It could have easily been my last day and I was amazed that I felt the accident coming.

I haven't experienced anything of this nature.But,I don't know why,I feel very scared in the dark. Earlier I used to enjoy watching horror movies occasionally.But after my operation eight years back when my younger one was born,even a single horror scene scares the wit out me.I have a feeling that something happened during the operation which is responsible for converting me into a chicken hearted person.:-)

It doesn't happen to me as a habit, but as a kid I did ,on a few occasions ,feel scared to enter a dark room just after watching a horror movie.If that's chickening out ,then some 11-12 years back I did chichen out a few times,lol.

Yes He gave me my friend's name.I too would have bugged him to know how he managed to do it,lol,but I was afraid if he was reading my mind ,then what else he might end up discovering if I kept asking him about it :-P It gave me a chill that someone could know my innermost thoughts.If I wasn't awestruck perhaps I'd have followed him around till he taught me how to do it ,lol.

I have it always seems like a deja vu moment. Yesterday I experienced it and not to long before I experienced it. Premonitions of things that could come. My favorite one is waking up only to wake up again. Its a bit creepy but cool none the less.
@bluewings (3857)

That has happened to me in dreams.I feel like I woke up and get started with my day only to do realise later that I am still dreaming and then shake myself out of it.
