I have a big 60lb pit bull. I went to let her out just now, and she would not go because somewhere down the street some kind of loud generator is running and making noise. And she is afraid of it! What a nut! Does your dog have it's wussy moments too?

We have four dogs, and our biggest is about 60 pounds also, and he is by far the biggest wuss of any dog I have known. The other day I was throwing snowballs around the yard and the three other dogs were having fun with it, following where the snowballs were going, sometimes chasing them down, sometimes trying to find where the "ball" went. Our big wuss though would run away everytime. If a snowball hit the house and made a "noise" he'd tuck tail and run. WOW! That's just the short of it, I could go on about all kinds of things that scare him. He's a little over 2 years old, I'm hoping there is still time that he'll grow out of being scared of everything. LOL, well I am glad it's not just my dog. She is only 1, so maybe she will grow out of it too!

We also have a pitbull (a little smaller than yours- he's about 54.5 pounds). Anyways, he's not really scared of noises but when it comes to going to the vets he's a big wuss...he even peed on the examintation table which is quite common apparently. I think I mentioned in another post that he's also scared of doors that are only partially open. He'll peak his head around the door and just stare at you till you open it all the way, it's cute but so silly!

my dogs do not have wussy moments they are always like that. It is so embarassing sometimes. I have two St. Bernards in the house and when I let them go out to go potty, they are afraid of everything. My older one especially. He is about 130pds. and he is absolutly terrified of my neighbors little taco bell dog. He will tuck his tail between his legs and run back to the front door to get in!! He does not like the rain, or snow blowers, or anything like that. My smaller one, he is a little better, but not by much. He don't like anything really loud or anything like that.

Used to have a golden retreiver years ago; she was so frightful of everything that she would 'tinkle' everytime she heard something strange or heard someone raise their voice even a fraction above normal volume. We named her, Puddles because of it...lol
