Where Have I Been?

I read some discussions where people go absolutely crazy when some of their friends just disappear. And they later require and explanation! An Explanation? LOL Like we all don't have lives? Like we all can just sit here everyday and play on Mylot? It would be fun, but none the less I have been knocked out the past week by Anti-Biotics. I had a nasty infection on my arm that was thought to be something really really bad. So they did a minor surgery and slipped me some anti-biotics. Except it turns out that from my recent doctors visit today, the anti-biotics weren't needed and were in fact the reason why I felt so delirious. Yes I have been delirious and sleeping for the past 5-6 days and it's been atrocious. No thinking was done at all in my head and all I have been doing is watching reruns of Batman the cartoon (even though I am 23 years old, grow up you say? -----:P). This goes to show that just because someone is a doctor, does not mean they know it all. I would have just been fine after the surgery without the pills but instead I ended up being sick for much longer all due to the pills. Not fun and next time I will require more information on everything. Well, from now on I will just go to my regular doctor instead of the emergency room if it is needed.

I agree with you about the problem with those antibiotics, and if you will pardon me, that is predisely why I am so proud of the organic products of DXN INTERNATIONAL. They produce no side-effects, there is no danger of overdose or underdose and they do not interfere with the body functions but rather help the body organs do their job more effectively.

Marvin, does DXN have a website? I'd be interested in learning a bit more about it.

I am familiar with herbs and herb sellers like GNC and PowerQueue. I am actually an affiliate of PowerQueue but many of it's products are way to expensive. I find that figuring it all out yourself and knowing what to be aware of most of the time fixes the problem.

I'm sorry you went through all that - especially with the antibiotics. I've never heard of them producing those kind of delirious side effects before though, that must have been horrific to say the least. I hope you're recovering nicely now. I prefer going to my regular doctor to start with anyway. I only go to the emergency room if I feel like I'm dying LOL.

I know what you mean when it comes to doctors. I often wonder how some of them manage to meet all the requirements of the profession. I'm glad to see you back. Many people on this site come and go. Some come and then go and I never see them again. My time to go may come up soon, I dunno.

Anti-biotics are well known for causing unpleasant side effects, sometimes worse than the actual syspmtons you were given anti-biotics for. Often a good, healthy diet is all that is needed. Still, there are times when anti-biotics are needed, so I don't want put poeple off them altogether. Hope you have made a good recovery now.

Of course not, anti-biotics are needed for certain things. Just not for everything, and it turns out that I didn't need them at all. Instead of helping me they were making me sick. :-(

I agree. We are all here to talk about things that interest us and help each other with their problems. That doesn't mean that we have to be here constantly - every day. If you are not here for a while you really don't have a responsiblity to explain your absence. What you do is what you do. That would be like your neighbor coming over to you when you get back from a vacation and demanding to know where you have been all week.

Well why give an explanation if you dont think people should be asking you too :P I agree though, some people get so offended when someone cant post for a few days forgetting that people have lives outside of mylot That sucks about the doctor, thats why it is always good to seek second opinions if you are still not feeling well

Yes I am learning to seek second opinions, that's why I went to the family doctor today. He has always been good and he was the one who told me to stop taking them.

maybe people here on mylot just misses your discussions or looking forward to your responses. maybe you are one of those people who posts with sense that's why they wonder where you could have been. i received privte messages, too about where i could have been when i am away for days. and i do appreciate those PMs. feels like i mean so much to my friends here. and i am sorry to here about your condition. sometimes, doctors are really that annoying. i am a pharmacist and that's why i understand you. honestly, when some doctors prescribe me meds, i study them before taking it in. there are doctors who treat us as guinea pigs... like testing new meds and stuffs. and i hate that. sometimes, they do prescribe too many meds which are obviously unnecessary. well, some of them always have hidden agendas with the manufacturers of specific medicines. whew! poor us then. but i hope you feel better soon!

I do not understand why friends or members ask for an explanation either for why I have not responded to their topics or replies. I think we all are busy and do not spend all our time on myLot. I work full time during the week and spend time with family and have other activities as well that I participate in. I am sorry to hear that you have been ill and hope the medications will help and get you well again.

I'm so sorry that you had to go through all of that, especially with having to take antibiotics when they weren't necessary. I hate to say it, but there doesn't seem to be an awful lot of doctors out there anymore that know what they are doing, let alone what they are talking about. I hope you are feeling better and will be completely well very soon. Welcome back.

Well, to start, I hope you feel better. And I was also reading some of those things also. I also have other things to do, beside Mylot. Sounds like Mylot is their life. So I guess if their friends don't write and keep up, that's less for them to do. I know I will be here when I can, if I happen to miss a day or so that is my business, since I have alot of other responsibilities. Feel Better and take care of you first,
