Anyone hear about the guy in NYC setting up house in a bread truck he bought on Ebay? He used to have an apt and it cost him $1000 a month. Now it only costs him $200 a month to park his bread truck. He put insulation in it, a ceiling, etc. A local church gave him a blanket. A local gym gave him a free membership at the gym to take a shower. He is going to have a bathroom put in the truck. This guy is resourceful.

No, I haven't but you are right he is resourceful. The story makes me think about that movie with Tom Hanks, what a Honey, sorry couldn't resit, The Terminal Have you seen it?

That's a great idea and it also brings attention to the problem of the cost of living in New York and other cities. People are literally being force to live in shelters and in the streets. I wish him the best of luck. Lloyd

Haha, I hadn't heard about that, but I talk about doing something similar on a daily basis. I can hardly ever afford to pay my rent so I always say that I'm going to move into the back of the moving truck parked outside of where I work then just use their bathroom and my friends shower.

No, I had not heard about this story. You are right, this guy is resourceful. This at least is better than being homeless on the streets. I hope he will be happy with this in the long term. I could never imagine myself living with these arrangements though.
