Help, I've got a spider problem. How do I get rid of them?

My new place has a big spider problem. Last summer we found spiders everywhere. I've never seen so many spiders almost every day. I've sprayed around the outside and around the borders of the rooms inside, but that doesn't seem to stop them. Does any else have this problem? How do I get rid of them?

I personally like spiders since they get the other bugs I really would rather not have. Balance in nature. Also if you get rid of cardboard boxes and use plastic bins that should reduce them in the house. If you still need to rid your predator friends here is a site.... www.askmehelpdesk.com/pest-control/getting-rid-spiders-12318.html - 51k - Good luck with this.

I don't mind some spiders, but I'm worried about Brown Recluse. We have them here unfortunately and they are fast and mean. Thanks for the tip, I'll take a look at the site.

Spiders like to hide in dark areas, such as closets, under furniture, so spraying the baseboards of your house is not enough. You have to get them were they live. Try an insecticide that targets spiders and look for were they might be hiding egg sacks. I had this problem a few years ago, and it took some time till we stopped seeing them and screaming. We had those big ugly wood spiders. YUK! good luck

The problem is I don't see them in the finished area too much, but they cover the ceiling with spider webs to I'm constantly taking them down and then we wake up in the morning with spider bites. Its frustrating. I can't tell if they're coming from the basement or the attic or what. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the tip. I feel better that knowing you were able to get rid of them.
