Have you ever fallen asleep while at work?

Ok. I admit there were really times I've fallen asleep in my workplace before, especially when I wasn't involved with mylot yet. There were even times when my colleague laughed at me coz I sometimes do some little snoring.. lol gross! well, it's not really that am too lazy and just wasting my time which the company has payed me to work for...it's just that my tasks are not really that demanding and besides I only get a few calls in a day (coz am working as a system operator for my client's businesses in Kentucky). So after keeping myself busy with all the surfing thing on net, I just feel like I wanted to take a nap... lol Anyways, my phone rings pretty loud to wake me up when I need to answer a call and have it transfered to my client or his business partners... And good thing, my boss didn't see me sleeping... coz am sure I'd be in trouble if he finds out... what about you, have you also experienced falling asleep in your workplace or office before? Did your boss see you sleeping? I hope not..lol

Yes.. it's terrible. I can hold the phone and sleep. No, don't tell anyone I said that, alright? :P I hope I did not go to the extent of snoring though...

Yes it happened to me once, I was working on the phones and I did my first night shift, I had work through the night! I was alright till about 3am then because there were no calls coming in, my eyes started to get heavy and heavy and suddenly I was gone, the next thing I heard was someone talking to me, it was a customer asking if anyone was there! Thankfully no one noticed, I never got used to the working nights it threw out my body clock, so I only did a week before going back to day shift!

No, it never happened to me even though sometimes I get really sleepy but I always remember where I am and recall that I can't be sleeping while at classes/work.

No, I can't say that I have. I am a nurse so it is really hard to fall asleep, as we are always running around! Years ago when I was working night shift, there were a few close calls though! We would make rounds, check each patient and then come back to the desk to chart. The lights were made low in order to not disturb patients whose rooms were near the desk. So, low light, tired nurse, no noise, heavy eyes...it was hard!! I teach now, so of course I am busy and on my feet. I really feel for those nurses on night shift...as it really gets hard sometimes. Even if you are sitting there busy, it just seems like you are supposed to be asleep!

No, but I've had to get up and take a walk around the building to wake up. I had a friend who used to fall asleep at work. And this was while he sat almost right at the front of the office.

Oh god, no! I wourked with people it would have been a very bad idea to fall asleep around, plus I was often driving! I would space out though, and get into a near sleep like state with my eyes open, on occassion.

i never actually slept on my desk during office hours, but sometimes i'm really sleepy. so much so that i go to the washroom, lock myself inside the cubicle and nap for around 10 minutes. haha! maybe that's why they also call it "rest"room. LOL!

it's a very normal incident (sometimes accident as well!) falling asleep while working in the workplace. After all, we are not machine. It proves that we are Human Being, the best of all creatures.

Yes, I have- I have fallen asleep at my desk, in meetings, on the phone, my boss has caught me, and I have taken the liberty to even go to bathroom and take power naps. Praise GOD for coffee- I don't do any of that anymore!

Fortunatley I have not fallen asleep at work. I dont have one minute to myself at work..let along time to sleep. I have caught myself at break drifting off tho..lol I go into the lunch room, get in one of those big over stuffed chairs and that is just asking for trouble. I guess falling asleep there wouldn't be as bad as falling asleep in the actaul workplace and getting caught by your boss :S

No I haven't sleep at work. I don't fall asleep at work even though I need a break or even during breaktime, I don't take a nap. I just browse the internet or watch some movie clips.

of course i have a couple of times if i slept late and had to wake up too early with a hangover sleep. i make sure someone around knows how tired i and sleepy i am so that they can quickly tap me up when my boss comes. but my boss is so sharp he can guess by looking straigth into your eyes. but i've not being queried yet.

Yeah, it happened to me once. I remember I was sitting alone in the office (my boss was to come in an hour or so), I put my head on my hands lying on the table, closed my eyes and relaxed. I don't think I fully fell asleep, but I remember the feeling of waking-up when I heard my boss' steps behind the door! I became straight at once and pretended I was attentively reading something on the monitor :) He didn't notice anything wrong! :)

I never have, but when I worked at a paper mill during the overnight shift, some of the more senior crew would crumple up a bunch of junk paper and take a nap. Then me, the temp who was just there for the summer between years in college woudl be running a multi-ton piece of equipment all alone. Ohh well.

when u fall asleep at work, it can have so many reasons but one very comman reason is this, that may be u have no interest in ur work means u r not getting work which u want to do, so the only solutin of this that u can change ur job, and try to find a job of ur interest, means in which u have to spent ur maximum time so u can overcome this prob bye tc
