i am studying nursing so it is required for us to pass a pre-requisite subject in order to continue or repeat the subject since you did not pass. well i was not able to pass NCM subject before so i need to repeat it. of course there is part in me that feel shame but what can i do since i failed. my classmate who failed too said he will never go back to school again. plus considering the tuition fee is high.

I dont think you should be fianne. Millions of people all over the world fail entire exams. So why bother about one subject? Cant you do the exam without attending classes again if the fee is high. You already have notes, only you have to study. When I was doing my University Entrance Exam, one of my friends who wanted to be a doctor, failed three times. ONly the fouth time she was able to enter Medical college. So, dont give up and dont lose hope. In another couple years, you will not be talking about the failed subject but how you passed it with flying colours. No one will ask you how many times you took the exam anyway. Good luck.

I don't think you should be ashamed of it. People all over the world fail entry exams and not because they messed around either. Sometimes there are just a few questions that take us by surprise or we get mixed up. There's a saying that goes, "if at you you don't succeed, try try again." In other words, keep trying and you will pass! Don't give up on your hopes and dreams because of one exam.

Don't worry about it too much. Just sit down and study. Of course, there are students who are always passing their exams. But there are also a lot of students who fail. Guess, who was thrown out of the university in her wild, wild youth because of her unsatisfying results? Yes, that's correct, it was me. And guess who has two degrees now? Yes, it's me again... There isn't any reason to be ashamed, but there is a reason to study more and to try it again. I'm absolutely sure you will pass it next time (by the way, I have no idea, what NCM means...) Don't give up!

I am the kind of person who never gives up on anything that I do. I will keep doing it till I get it right. I have never failed a class but I dont think that jusb because you failed, that it should interfer with what you really want. Just keep at it till you get it right. You will always feel bad if you quit. If you keep going, you will feel proud of yourself for accomplishing something that you set out to do. Never give up on your dreams.

Being failure is not a big thing to be depressed of. Failure is part of our lives. There are various reasons why a person failed. Use that experience as an inspiration. Strive more by studying and reviewing your lessons. Just believe in yourself. Pray hard...

Absolutely yes! Its so terrible to repeat the same subject. its boring because the subject is the same. I do feel shame and helpless and i am shy if my friends know about it. It seems so miserable. That is why i always give extra effort to get higher grades, since i am not only struggle for my grades but also my dignity. ;)

I have had to repeat a few subjects in school, and I think there's nothing to be ashamed about. Some classes are harder than others. Sometimes you get a bad teacher the first time and get stuck in a class that you really can't understand. If you take it a second time, it will be a lot easier because the material will already be a little familiar to you... you may even be able to reuse your term papers and stuff from the first time! Don't feel bad about it! Besides, probably nobody in the class will even know you're taking it for the second time! - Angel http://www.blogcharm.com/4kids

dear fianne, what should we be ashamed of? if you do try hard but you're failed then you must be not trying enough so you must keep on trying to study harder sister life is a process of learning right? you're not 100 percent succesful all the time right? there're times that you should fall down but there're times when you get up from the fall and be a very succesful person sister fianne have faith in yourself you should be ashamed if you quit now because you already achieve great things and also lesson in life so you should take advantage of it why don't you try to be the number 1 in the class? i know you can do it

No, not really...there are just a lot of factors involve when we fail the subjects. sometimes, the subject is just too difficult or sometimes we just don't give out our best. but try not to be to hard on yourself. it's normal and failure is part of success. how would you know the true meaning of successif you haven't experience failure.

Not really, but I feel guilty when I failed a few subjects way back during my 3rd year in college. Of course I felt bad coz' it's not my money, it's my mom's sweat and blood. But then, failure is where you will learn. I'd be ashamed myself if I fail the same subject again for the third time, that'd be really ridiculous.

First of all I think its great your studying to be a nurse, theres always the need for more medical staff. About feeling ashamed, try not too by thinking about the purpose of your studies and why you decided to become a nurse... Good luck in your studies fianne

Stethoscope - Nursing is Hard!
I am also a nursing student and I have talked to alot of other students at my school. Alot of us have had to repeat classes, because at our school you have to have a C or better to go into the nursing program. I am not ashamed that I have had to repeat a class, I am proud that I kept trying! Becoming a nurse is very hard work, it takes patience and determination. You should be proud that you are not giving up like your friend. Just believe that you CAN do it!

I'd think repeating a course would be a bit boring, but you would know the curriculum better the second time around. If you really want to be a nurse, you should try and try again until you pass.
