Ok, what is your theory on global warming. THis is when I usually start thinking the daffodils will be coming up soon and instead...it is going down to single digits and below at night. But December was so warm - all you heard was global warming. And the oil prices - OUCH! $600 for a tank! I usually spend about 700 for the whole winter! Please explain the madness!

Ouch! Your having single digits? While we are have spring like weather now. The weather this past month has been so erratic, that I and some of my children are sick! And the oil prices going up must explain the sudden jump in gas prices! Wow! 2.13 one day....2.39 one week later! Hopefully the government will finally realize that they need to start taking these things seriously.

You are paying 2.39 for gas, I saw 2.71 yesterday. I would be jumping up and down for 2.39. The temp was 8 when I went to bed this morning at up 1 AM. Was scared to look at it when I left the house for work (Boy it is nice to say that again). I hope you guys feel better...I amlucky..have not really been sick in a while.

Arctic cold is the consequence of Global Warming. The whole phenomenon is about extreme temperatures. It is explained really well in Al Gore movie.

I didn't know Al Gore made a movie, he must be following in Ronald Reagan's footsteps. So Global warming involves extremes in extemperature as well?

Yes the weather is playing havoc around the world it is quite strange but then I did hear that when we normally have winter then this will be summer and vise versa. This has occured from what the human beings have done to the planet I already seen a documentary on this.

well I don't think I'll be around long enough to see that, but things do seem to be happening pretty fast in these changes.

I know what you're saying, Deb...Do you remember hearing on the news this past summer how the U.S. had the hottest temperatures in over 100 years..? It's just crazy and I don't think it's going to get any better; it's far too late. We've damaged the ozone layer beyond repair... The only thing that might help us if the scientists could figure out a star wars type structure to place just above or below it, where we'd get the right amount of heat from the sun, etc. But I don't see that ever happening. It's a mad, mad, mad, mad, world...

Mad world...here is my question..comes august we get an ozone alert...we have too much of it...THis means we can generate ozone some how. Global warming is affected by a hole in the ozone. Why can't we manufacture ozone to fix the whole or stop it from growing? I am clueless.

I did two discussions on global warming and the affect on wildlife and birds. I have learned alot lately about it. You should read my discussions and go to the websites that I listed. All thoughout history, the earth has been constantly changing. I believe this is a natural change in the earth. It follows the same pattern as it always has. The birds are migrating 3 week earlier than they used to and wildlife is moving more north than they have been . It is very interesting to look at the pattern of the birds and wildlife. They seem to know how to adapt and change with the earths change.

I think the animals are much more intuitive and wiser then we give them credit for. I will have to go back and look at those sites when I get sometime...maybe this weekend. THank,.

I feel your pain, Deb - Global Warming? The way I feel at the moment - Bring it on! I live just North of you, in Toronto, and our weather has been much the same as yours - since the New Year: Bloody Freezing! They are promising milder temps from now on though, so we're keeping everything crossed....... As for the fuel oil situation, I can only think of one explanation for that - rank profiteering! Ah well, what can you do - cest la vie........ All the best... and a happy Spring.

I hope so, down here we had part of a parking ramp collapse from the snow last month, everyone was so upset, all I could think of was in a normal year, that would have been December that it happened. No was killed or injured. Christmas shopping..collapsed parking ramp. Global warming may have helped there.
