A girl with no cellular phone...she's weird..

My sister doesn't like much having a celphone because she feels that its invasive especially during her private times with the family. There was a time that she complained that people do look at her weirdly when she tells them that she has no cellphone. She get's that unspoken word with just the way they look at her. She finally got fed up and bought herself the latest cellphone.
Do you think that it's weird for anyone especially those that are occupying high positions not to have a cellphone? My sister is a COO of a software company.

I think it's her own preference not to have a celphone, and people are just to judgmental just because of the job she has. To which I think is not fair fir your sister, where she just bought the phone just to change what others feel at her. Your sister has the right on everything that she does with her life, and I just hope that she didn't force herself just to buy that celphone..

I am the type that REALLY HATES cell phones. I may get one just due to a sort of emergency that happened during a blizzrd here in Minnesota USA. You can read about it on my page it's titled "The wife was walking home". Anyhow I've seen such abuse & rideness of cell phone users that it really irks me than man created such an item. Anyhow in her case I may say yeah she needs one. Thanks for this discussion.

I think it is perfectly reasonale to live without a cellphone. They are invasive and spoil your peace and I think it is a great idea for your sister to not have one.

I don't think she's weird at all. By not following the trends of people having cellphones, doesn't mean that you are out to date. It is just that they don't want the purpose of that certain thing. Maybe they have the thinking that they can live without them. Besides, for her, it is an extra baggage. Living the way we want should not be affected by technology like mobile phones. Some people tends to use things that they believe are helpful to them. But as far as your sister is concerned, she don't need that. She can still work efficiently without it before and she still can get in touch with the people she want to get in touched with. So for me, that is not a problem at all.
