were you ever ashemed of your parents when you were a child?

not necessarily ashamed... more like being embarrased... whenever my dad gets drunk and he turns loud and noisy. and it didn't just happen when i was a child. it still is happening even while i'm responding to this discussion.

Yes I was often ashamed of my father for not being there for me when it came to school open days and when teachers wanted to see me, it was only my mum who bothered to come with me. Dad would rather stay at home drink and watch tv! It was embarrasing for me as I saw all my friends with both their parents, it was like having a single parent family! Even when we returned dad was more interested in watching tv than hearing how his son had done at school.

Yes and incident was whenever my father came home at day time while fully drunk.
