A wish board is where you place pictures of things you wan in your life. wan a new camera? Cut a picure ou of a magazine and put i on your wish board. Want to be happy? Pu a picture of you being happy on the board. Does anyone else do this? I've got 2 boards so far. One for things i want in my life and one for weight loss.

I've done similar, but just with a single picture at a time not a whole board. Good idea though, will have to give that a try soon. I need/want a camera, a massage table & the money for the classes I want to take :)

I think you have an awesome idea there. I really like it. You could even paste/glue pictures onto a piece of construction paper and tack it onto the wall, where you will see it. It is kind of an inspirational tool to get you to work toward your goals. I do have a picture that I cut out a while back and put on my refrigerator. It is of the back yard gazebo that I want to eventually build with hubby in our backyard. Thanks for sharing your idea. I like it.

NO, i think that it is to depressing to because I can't afford the things I want right now. I need to think of the needs of my family.

I don't have a wish board, but if I did it would be covered in pictures of places I want to travel to. As far as material possessions, I have more 'things' than I need, and I don't really want for much else other than my health and my husband and babies health and happiness. The frustrating thing is that I am so used to being able to pack a bag and buy a train ticket and just GO someplace, I think it will be a difficult adjustment now being a mom. I think a wish board might just remind me of all the places I can't go at the moment... but a good idea, nonetheless. Maybe I could use one to post pictures of a trip I can take when the babies old enough to travel and my husband can get a few weeks off work. It might keep me looking ahead instead of feeling so restless...

I dont do it personally but Ive considered it. I have a "hope chest"..which is somewhat similar.. I hope your wishes come true...that's good motivation to help you lose the weight :)

I've never done this - or even heard of it - but it's not a bad idea. I can definitely see where it would keep you focused on your goals, although most of mine aren't material things. More like happiness and weight loss, as you said. Of course, it wouldn't be hard to find pictures depicting those, now that I think of it. I do like using WishList.com to keep up with random things that I'd like to have - you can add items from any website, and your family/friends/whoever you tell about the list can see it and get birthday and Christmas ideas, etc. Of course, the only person I've told about mine is my husband, and I'm not sure if he remembers it. :) I just thought it was neat that I could put the camera I'm drooling over on the list from one site, books from Amazon, clothes from somewhere else, etc.

no I don't keep a wish board, but I keep a wish list, it's the list of all the things I want, and I don't any pictures in it. I just read it often.
