Nachiketas was a young brahmin boy whose story is dealt in detail in the kathopanishad,attached to the Yajurveda. Nahiketas in the story met Yama, the god of death and inquires about the nature of the Supreme Truth called the Brahman or the Atman, which has no destruction. Yama after hesitation, answers the questions of the young lad.
