Do you sleep on the left, right or in the middle of your bed?

I sleep on the right, in fact its the only side I really feel comfortable. Recently we changed around the furniture and the bed was positioned in a way that I had to start sleeping on the left and it was impossible, I tossed and turned all night. Eventually we had to move the bed back to its original position so I could sleep. what side do you sleep on, or does it matter to you??

Actually I tend to sleep on the side of the bed that is closer to the door. In all the beds that I have slept in (home, university, relatives etc) - I have found that I am more comfortable sleeping on the side closest / facing the door. Generally they have happened to be on the left side, but every now and then it is on the right. I also found that if it is on the right side that I am positioned, I tend to curl in towards the left to go to sleep. Does that make sense ? *LOL*

You think that has to do with how we have slept in a bed the majority of our lives? I dont ever remember sleeping anywhere else but the right side...weird

I always sleep on my right side. If I turn on my back or on my left side, I wake up and can't go back to sleep until I'm on my right side.
Recently I read an article in a newspaper where it was recommended to sleep on your right side as it puts less pressure on your heart. I was glad I wasn't addicted to sleeping on my left side, because I don't think I could have changed, even if it was better for my heart.

Well I am glad that I sleep on the right side. I didn't know that it was recommended to sleep that way.

I sleep on the left side of the bed, on the left side of my body. I can not sleep on my back or my tummy. I sleep on the very edge of my bed, usually with one finger touching the nightstand to keep myself aware in case I fall off the bed. I do this only because my husband is a bed hog and I also have my 4 year old sleeping in my bed also. She, like her father, is a bed hog. They both stretch out and I've found that the only way I can get to sleep is by lying on my left side, on the edge of the bed with one finger on the nightstand. I don't get much sleep obviously but I'm not complaining.

My ding dong husband gets up at 1:30am to get ready for work so I guess I'm lucky that I have the bed to just me and my 4 year old from 1:30am until I get up at 5:30am...she takes over for her dad though. We battle over the blankets too and I don't understand why he even wants them cuz all he does is sweat when he sleeps. (Hence the name, "ding dong".)

lol, the best sleep I get is when the hubby gets up and goes to work. Its soooo nice to stretch out and not have him call me a bed hog. I have waken in the middle of the night holding just the sheet while he is all curled up with the rest of the blankets..

I sleep on the right side of my bed and I know from personal experience that if I sleep anywhere else on the bed that I cannot get as good enough of a sleep as I usually do. I really have a hard time when I an not sleeping in the right place on my bed. I've actually had nights when I fell asleep on the wrong part of my bed and when I woke up I actually felt more tired and terrible than I did when I went to sleep in the first place.
I know that when I am sick I can depend on that right side of my bed to be the place where I can get some rest to feel better. I've found that the only way I can sleep properly and still wake up feeling well rested is if I sleep in that one spot on my bed. Anywhere else and I might as well just stay up all night. I find it hard to get a good night's rest anywhere else but in the area that I am used to sleeping on in my bed.
I have even had that happen in a hotel where me and my other half stayed about a year ago. We had booked this one room with a specific type of sheet on it. Well, I was unable to get a good sleep on it for three reasons:
1. I did not have my own pillow and that plays a big factor in if I can get some sleep or not.
2. I was not used to the satin sheets that the put on the bed. They were entirely way too slippery.
3. It was not my bed and not the right side of the bed for me in the first place.
I really don't even like sleeping anywhere else on my bed but the right side. Even when I used to sleep at my other half's old apartment years ago when we had first started seeing each other.. I always had to sleep on the side that was proper for me. I remember a couple of times where I fell asleep on the wrong side of the bed there and it didn't help me at all. I felt horrible when I eventually woke up.. I had sharp pains in my back & I woke up extremely exhausted.. After that I told myself I would not fall asleep in the wrong part of the bed ever again.
In conclusion, I really don't like it when I fall asleep on the side or part of the bed because I know that is basically sentencing me to a terrible sleep and an even more terrible wake up when that alarm goes off. I have only one option when it comes to getting a good sleep and that is to go to sleep on the right side of the bed each night! . .
Thanks for allowing me to share! xx

I have wakened up on the wrong side of the bed and things are so confusing. I walked right into the wall once, almost broke my nose..lol..its what we are comfortable with and then forms habit. i can move around my room in the dark and half asleep if i am comfortable on my own side of the bed...

I sleep on the left side of the bed. I'm comfiest that way, although I have found that when I have a lie in, after my partner gets up, I seem to almost gravitate towards the middle or the right side lol.
It matters to me to the extent that I can't get to sleep if I'm on the right side, I much prefer the left when going to sleep. Once I'm asleep though, it just doesn't seem to matter lol.

Being that I have the whole bed to myself, I am usually right in the middle of the bed. When I wake up, however, it's not necessarily in the same place I started off in. If you have to pick a side to sleep on in the bed, just make sure you don't wake up on the floor.

I always like to sleep facing the wall which is on my right side, however I must change over in the night because when I wake up in the morning I always find myself on the left hand side! I always sleep on my side, I can't sleep on my back, because it's not comfortable and I tend to snore, if I sleep on my front I worry about suffocation.

I sleep alone on my bed, and I don't stay on one position for too long... :P sometimes I even find some of my pillows on the floor because I moved around my bed too much..lol but maybe I had to cut it off when I get married and have my hubby sleeping with me...lol

I start sleeping in the middle... but I will end up every way. I usually have insomnia so I will turn and toss to find the most comfortable position for that minute. :P
