DO you think celebrities get lighter punishments in comparison to the crimes they commit?

Yes I think they do. I don't want to mention names because I don't want to be accused of anything. I am always hearing about that kind of stuff. I hear about pro sports players getting caught doing this or that. If it were a regular everyday person they would spens some time in the clink, but I am always hearing about how they are getting away with probation. And then I hear about movie stars getting caught for public intox, or possession, and all they get are slaps on the hands.

yes i agree this question that celibrities get lighter punishment in comparison to the crimes . But this type attitude happened because our law are not so strict for celibrities . all celibrities which involved in crime they save himself with power of money . but general people can't do this

Sometimes they do, and I don't think it is fair at all. Do you?

I think celebrities do get lighter sentences than regular people. Their influence can have an effect on the judicial system as well. Years ago, a serial killer was in jail, but his paintings caught the attention of several celebrities. They were so touched by his work that that petitioned the court to grant him parole. Some of the celebs who did so were Woody Allen (who should be in jail too), and Goldie Hawn. When he was allowed out, what did he do? He killed again!

I don't think they do. It doesn't mean they are celebrities they would be given lighter punishment when they commit any crimes. That doesn't exempt them for being famous or whatsoever for that matter. They would be given punishment in accordance to the weight of crime they commit just like an ordinary citizen .Law is a law and "no one is above the law".
