Has anyone seen the new game show with Jeff Foxworthy as the host?

I just watched it for the first time tonight( C.S.I. was a rerun I already saw), don't know if I will watch it again. It is called "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader". A man from my town was on and won $175,000. It was ok, but not enough to override C.S.I. It is a question answer game with questions based on 1st through 5th grade school curriculum. Has anyone else seen this?

I agree with you about not missing csi. I take the game show. I like it because I like Jeff Foxworthy. I think he is very funny. I also like the show because kids today are being taught more advanced stuff than when I was in school. My daughter was doing algebra in Middle school. I did not get algebra till I was in high school and then it was optional. I would have to say I may not be smarter than a 5th grader. I do like the show though.

Jeff Foxworthy was on Ellen last week. She did a mockup of his gameshow, with him as a contestant against an audience member. He was so bad! He didn't get anything right. Good thing he doesn't have to answer the questions on his show. Thanks for responding. Have a great day. PEACE

I saw the tail end of one episode while waiting for what I *really* wanted to see come on (Gilmore Girls). The question was something like "What does REM stand for?" and the adult didn't know, and hemmed and hawed, and looked like she was sweating bullets. Finally, she decided to copy the kid's answer (which, luckily for her, happened to be correct). But while I was watching this, I kept thinking, "Can that woman really be that stoooopid or is she acting?"

I just saw it too. It just takes to long to answer the question. Your home town guy was sure cute!

I know what you mean. But, the questions are part of their curriculum and are fresher in ther minds than in ours. Mine anyway. It's been over 40 years since I was a fifth grader.

I love watching this show with my brother! We never miss it. I am a college grad. and am in college again to go back for my BSN and I get half the questions wrong!LOL! My brother on the other hand is 12 and he gets most of them right b/c it's things that he has just learned within the past few years, so he makes fun of me and it is a great bonding experience! I think this is a terrific show for kids to watch with there parents...I just wish they would pick up the pace a little bit!!
