Bomb Threat at School......

United States

Yesterday afternoon our school posted a letter on its website explaining there was a threat... By this morning, the update said the school had someone in custody and it was a hoax. WELL, I do not feel comfortable sending my daughter, so I called in and the sent an email to the Superintendent. What would you have done??? Just wonder if something else related to this will pop up and if anything happened to my daughter I could never forgive myself!!

i'm not sending my son to shool today. it is an excused absence, did you know that? i just think its safer that way. i have seen many parents yesterday, and from what i gather, no one is sending their kids today.. it might as well be closed!

Wow that's almost scarey. Our school had a bomb threat a few months ago and before they did anything they loaded every student from high school and middle school (their next door to each other) on buses and took them to the university field house about 3 miles away. They then contacted all parents letting them know where the students were at and we had until 10:30 to pick our kids up there then they would start taking the kids home. My son went to school the next day, it was a hoax but better safe than sorry. I was very pleased how our school handled the situation.

It is a hard call. How long do you keep your daughter out of school? The person was arrested, so there was nothing to worry about. I would have sent my kids to school but I would have been worried the entire time.
