school days were really wonderful days and never forget them. in my school there were students from different parts of my country who stayed in the school till we finished our schooling and got to college. although many of those are lost and dont know where they are, i still communicate with 7 childhood friends who are well settled in different jobs and still searching to locate the others through some sites but in vain sofar. ARE YOU IN CONTACT WITH ANY OF YOUR CHILDHOOD FRIENDS? HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO LOCATE YOUR FRIENDS? .

i used to have quite a number of friends that i was pretty close to when i was much younger, but it seems that as we all grew older we all got our own lives to live and we seldom keep in contact now. pretty sad.

thats true. sometimes either those friends get dislocated during the schooling or after getting into jobs at different places. but unless the link between friends is kept going its difficult to trace out them. but with the present technology and internet it is really an added advantage to the present and future generations to keep track without any difficulty.

School days were definitely the best and I have fond memories of those days.Since I was in a boarding school, my friends too were from all over the country. We were only 25 in our class and after we finished school(exactly 10 yrs ago) I was in touch with only a close few. I always felt bad that I wasn't able to stay in contact with everybody else till I came to the US last year and I found a site which had all my school mates in it. Even my juniors and seniors, everybody. I was so happy and now I'm in touch with almost all 25. If I'm not talking to them directly I atleast know what they are up to. 6 of them are here in the US and we are regularly in touch. The rest are back home, and we mail each other, call or chat. We also have a yahoo groups of our batch so we are in constant touch. It feels great!:)

I was able to maintain a small group of friends since we're 7 years old. Its amazing to see all of us married and having our own children right now. Although, there are three of them who was scattered all over the world. But we still keep a close contact through emails and chatting. I just recently attended our school's alumni homecoming. It was incredible seeing so many of my former classmates. The feeling of nostalgia was thick in the air. Everyone just keep glancing around trying to see who gained weight, who's balding, who got a pot belly, and so on. :)

obviously it would be ludicrous but the rejoice of recollection of past makes it more enjoyable when we meet after we are grown up.

Most of my childhood friends still live in the same town as me and didn't even finish Community College. I know that one of my really good friends in high school is now living in Spain and working as a teacher. I wish I could have done that!

I don't really keep in touch with school friends, the last school friend I had contact with was until my late 20s but we were going in different directions and I found her to be a very negative person so I slowly cut off contact with her which was a shame as we were pals for 17 or 18 years. I have several friends that I have known since childhood who I spent weeks of summer at their house and they at mine. We are still friends today in our late 30s and early 40s! These people will be my friends till I die! Those are true friends. A few years ago I made contact with some old school pals through Friends Reunited but made no particular effort to keep in regular contact, it was nice to find out that they were happy and contented in their lives but after a few emails and telephone calls I remembered why we hadn't stayed in touch in the first place. It's difficult to not see people for over 15 or 20 years and then try to pick up where you left off... :)

very true anonymili. its indeed a task after that huge gap between friends to really trace out. even i could just trace out 6 of them. although there isnt much going and coming to each others house due the distance between us but its once a year we gather to check up at a old friends party if we could find the rest.

I do not have any childhood friends as my family were poor and at time time, only the rich has friends. I do have a neighbour who is also my classmate till secondary school. We lost contact after we were affected by the relocation scheme. Sad to say, I leave it to fate to meet. I believe that one day we will meet if we are destined to me.

even i left it alone to destiny. but, once my classmate accidentally met me in a train and that made me curious to find out about others.

My best friend and I have known each other since we were 15 and in French class together. We have now known each other for 31 years! She lives about 75 minutes away and we don't see each other as much as we'd like because she works odd hours and is busy with her family. I have two other friends from high school that I see irregularly. And, I'm having lunch with a college friend tomorrow.

Some of my childhood friends are in these places: prison, the hospital, the morgue, and the mental hospital. Most of us just are not doing as well as we would like to do.

I am indeed still in contact with several of my childhood friends, two of which I have been friends with for 30 years of my 37 years. They are still living in my hometown in New York. I am still in contact with other friends that I met later on in high school, and still many more that I have met while relocating to different bases with my husband and family for the last almost 19 years--we are all scattered all over the place, with me being the farthest away as we are stationed in Italy, which has been great because a few of my childhood friends have even been over to visit us here in Italy. I haven't tried to locate any of my childhood friend mainly because I am already in contact with the ones I really care to have in my life.

no, not really on all counts. my childhood was full of bullies and getting picked on. i would rather leave those things in my past. especially, since most of it came from my cousin, who, unfortunately, i still see occasionally. i do, however, keep in touch with many people from my highschool days and college. many i have re-connected with on myspace. i was never in favor of myspace until i realize how great it is to keep in touch with old friends. i wish you luck in finding your old friends.

My bestfriend is from my childhood batch of friends. Looking back, it was the best time for making friends. I don't know why but i guess since we grew up together, we understand each other more compared to my office friends.
