Yes and have been elected Parliamentarian. Don't know what I am supposed to do in this position but I will do my best. I want to be very actively involved with my son's school life. The more I know the better I feel. It will be the same for my daughter once she starts school.

I think it's admirable. I only wish I had the personality for it, but it seems so clique-ish, and I have never been able to clique. I hope its not that way where you are.

oh no! Well...maybe. I hve only been to 2 meetings so far and have only had interaction with everyone a few times other than that and everyone seems nice. But now I am recalling a catty remark made one day and a look and a few things like that. But I think that with any group or anything there will always be rivalry and competition. I read somewhere that it is human nature to gossip and fight... it goes along with survival of the fittest and all. I hate fighting but I will admit to harmless gossip. Never if it will hurt someone. I just love love love helping out when it comes to that kind of stuff. My mom was in the PTO and was a room mother and it made me sooo happy!
